Alexandria Nicole makes some nice Syrahās. Milbrandt for the cheaper side makes some very drinkable wines. Have not tried Cooper Wine however.
Gosh thatās an enviable list though Iām surprised to see Fourrier in the #1 spot. I feel like people rarely discuss Fourrier on WB
Being able to do a CT report that has customized time parameters would be awesome.
Similarly, it would be awesome to be able to run a report with customized exclusions (e.g.: it runs calculations WITHOUT all my tracked beers included).
Very interesting seeing some common threads here. Although I feel like I am a bit boring - in no order:
Bedrock
Ridge
Tablas Creek
Terre Rouge/Easton
Roederer Estate
Niepoort
Jadot
De Negoce
Kirkland Signature - The Chianti and Rioja are generally great values.
After that there is a long tail of producers - I suspect next year there will probably be a few OR and FLX producers on this list for me.
When I donāt know what to drink, would naturally reach out for a Fourrier as his wines hardly ever disappoint. It helps that I got allocations for many vintages.
Your list looks decently varied to me, but my view is not important. If you feel like you are a bit boring, branch out of your comfort zone and try wines from new regions or countries.
For purchases or consumed bottles in CT, you can narrow results by begin/end dates. E.g. CT home ā Wine Purchased ā Narrow Results ā Beginning Purchase.
Going back to 2004, when I first became seriously into wine, this is my top ten:
Dƶnnhoff
Selbach-Oster
Leitz
Jadot
JJ PrĆ¼m
Produttori di Barbaresco
Zind-Humbrecht
Keller
Peter Lauer
von Winning, regardless of whether Dr. Deinhard is included in the total
In the past 2-3 years, Iāve bought less from Keller (as discussed in another thread); and Produttori (after many years, the price of the Riservas has finally caught up to the quality). Five years from now, Iām sure that Falkenstein, at least, will pass both of them.
The rest I continue to buy and drink regularly.
Fourrier is also #1 for me (my list was in order). I think some people donāt like his style, which is just fine from my perspective. Iāve heard complaints that the wines are too similar, but having done a number of Fourrier tastings, thereās quite a bit of vintage/cuvee variation. To each their own.
Hard to know for sure since I am not on Cellar Tracker, but this will be pretty close. Not in any order.
