Lot 433 | 2021 Arroyo Seco Pinot Noir
1+ year bottled. It’s Tuesday night, with Cod Tacos on the menu. PnP.
Pours a light color with light aromas. This HAS become more complex and a bit richer. Nicely acidic, lightly structured. Hmmmmmm, Actually tastes almost like a white wine to me. Not too serious, but refreshing and a nice palate cleanser.
Happy with this clean, light PN. Good value @$129 with Cod
Tacos

I just miss the excitement of the Cameron era releases. ChatGPT could write these new-negoce blurbs.
Imagine if he would come back. That’d be epic.
What a coincidence…
Lot 192 2019 Knights Valley Cabernet
Coming up on 4 years in the bottle. 2 hours in the decanter.
Lots of nice fruit and beautiful oak on the nose. Strongly (14.9%) structured and full of flavor. Flawless, balanced & delicious! The complexity of the aroma is truly top notch!
Per CAM: “ From the finest French oak to the best vineyard management team, no expense was spared in the production of this wine.”.
This is drinking fine, decanting recommended. 1-2 Yums

N.159 to celebrate my wallet getting lighter and my cellar fuller in the near future
#159 is great! +
Yep, good to be trading fiat for extra good liquid assets!
Today’s WSJ reports he is starting a new venture. Wines at $10-15,
As discussed here:
Opened a bottle of n.50 last night. It was just OK, nice wine, but a little flat and slightly off on the finish. Saved a little over half a bottle for tonight and wow, much better. So cohesive, no rough edges. Great wine, but still needs lots of air!
Remembering the past dN days of $9 wines, we opened yesterday an OG N.109 2018 Fair Play District (El Dorado County) Syrah. This Oct 2020 bottled cellar defender’s first 2023 ‘rhubarb’ taste has now passed along to rich grains and blackberry flavors. 90 pts / A
I have purchased maybe 20 lots of dN. 330 is the only wine my wife refuses to drink… and she is not a picky drinker. I stopped buying de Negoce wines after I tasted 330. It left a bad taste in my mouth literally and figuratively. I’m curious, is there anyone who has tried 330 who enjoys it?
Lot 330 | 2021 Sonoma County Chardonnay
Call me polarized. I’ve had 3 bottles that I enjoyed and 3 that were crappy. Biggest variation among the 98 wines I’ve reviewed on CT.
Thursday evening get together and basketball games:
- 2019 de Négoce Shiraz OG N.280 Centenarian Vines Lou Miranda "Winery Church" Block - Australia, South Australia, Barossa, Barossa Valley (3/13/2025)
Decanted 30 minutes prior to serving for Thursday evening get together with Chris.
Nose: Ripe boysenberry and plums mixed with lavendar.
Color: Dark Red almost purple here. No browning at rim.
Palate: Big whack of juicy Shiraz similar to CH Lot 38 back in the day. Balanced with decent acidity and modest tannins. Gaining complexity from last bottle. These Aussie Shiraz are slower to develop with screwcap. Be patient here. There is continued development in my opinion. Alot of sediment as one reviewer commented. Use a screen to filter if that bothers you. (90 points)

Brian,
I agree with Bob’s opinion on Lot 330: Although my fortune was to be able to secure case of Lot 328 2020 Chardonnay and went back to bottle shop to grab 1 Lot 330 Chardonnay. It was a mess, too much oak, too ripe.
Nothing similar to Lot 328 2020 Chardonnay. First 328 bottle brought to a party at my cousins house. After first 3 pours, the word get around, bottle emptied out, photos taken of label where to purchase that Chardonnay. Unbelievable that 328 and 330 from same producer different vintage.
Never in my wine drinking life has some wine sat uncorked for an extended period of time and still drank well. However, I am shocked to report that a half-glass of n.385 Cabernet that was left in the bottle uncorked on my counter is still very enjoyable after 6 days!
I was out of town for almost a week and forgot about it. I just realized there was a half glass of juice in there and expected a vinegary mess. Instead, it’s quite nice! I wish I had vino-vac’d it, to be sure, but insane how well this held up. Based on this extremely scientific exploration, I think this one has some aging potential.
The only other time I’ve been almost equally surprised was when a friend left a quarter bottle of Williams Seylem Pinot uncorked on a picnic table overnight on a hot east-coast July Summer evening. It was still very good at 8am the next morning.
It’s been about 6 months since I had one, I guess it’s time to try it again. CT says I have 5 (!) bottles left from the case. Maybe if I hide the label from my wife, she will be able to gag it down.
