I didn’t order Lot 3, but appears that’s the first lot to arrive. Pop 'em if ya got 'em, folks!

I like that all these wines are still available so it’s more value add than usual for people to give us feedback.

I’m keeping my eye on lot 16 Syrah and thinking about a third case!!!

I don’t even have an estimated delivery date yet for the tracking numbers I received Tuesday…

I’m just trying to figure out how to squeeze everything in what was already a pretty well stocked cellar… These deals are too good to pass up. FOMO is one thing - this is another

Can we do a steak thread? Everything on the cam x steak website is sold out and I feel super fomo about it

I asked him about that, he said it’s all going to be re-stocked - not going out of business

Truly interesting business models. On one hand, the ā€˜least expensive’ wines I consistently purchase. On the other hand, the ā€˜most expensive’ beef I’ve ever encountered (so haven’t purchased). Yes - items in ā€˜quotes’ are intentional…please don’t hate on me.

Is there actually a steak site and can you link it? I tried searching for it and Google returned me porn results 🫨

As a matter of public service, could someone out there PLEASE pop a Lot 3 and report back? It appears to be the first lot delivered (I didn’t order this one), so hoping there’s a charitable berserker out there that’s willing to take one for the team. I’m 15 cases in and would just love to see some actual positive feedback on the wine itself (not the bottle shape or color scheme) before ordering the next 15 cases  The community would be forever grateful…

I’m on the East Coast and have a case of Lot 5 arriving Friday…just in time to take it on vacation starting Saturday (and don’t expect any bottles will make their way home). In short, we’ll know what to make of Lot 5 very soon. My Lot 12 & Lot 2, however, are slated to arrive mid-vacation and have been re-routed to a holding facility…but hopefully others will be able to receive those lots (and others) and report back to this board ASAP. Echoing sentiment I’ve both stated and read from others, our ability to taste and then re-up (or not) may be a short-lived phenomenon. I’m ready.

Pobega’d Lot 12. Coming in super hot and tightly wounded on first sip. Decanted in glass over 2hrs. Rest of the bottle is decanting in the fridge waiting for my bf’s verdict.

Underripe red cherries, wild red berries then turns ripe bramble on the nose, some hints of dried violet and wilted rose petals, and the dusty smell when you kick some gravel and the dry topsoil just fly everywhere.

It’s hella hot on palate, tannin is still whacking my mouth even after 2 hours decanting in the glass with a tiny pour. Good acidity coming through. Black fruit jam, blackcurrant, chocolate covered raw bacon, some baking spices such as cloves and cardamoms, little earthiness like when you kick the gravel again a little too hard, lose balance, rolling down the hill and eat shit. Medium long finish but it’s overpowered by the burning alcohol.

This is one really big wine, needs hella time to integrate the elements. I’m putting this in the depth of my cellar and revisit when I finish my Doctorate lol. I’d like to get 2-3 more cases of this for my CabSav chugger partner, but this is way too high octane for me and my poor throat :pensive:. I had to take very small sips to mitigate the alcohol burns, and one glass took me over 3 hours to ā€œenjoyā€.

Edit: Bf thinks it has tremendous potential but needs a year or two at least.
