While not a somm, but I have been part of the Atlanta wine judging scene for over 12 years. My wife & I enjoy a wide variety of wines, and we even used to make our own many years ago when we lived in an alcohol-free country… We prefer heavier reds, look for great terroir, and enjoy complex well-crafted wines. We enjoy wines from around the world. We have 60-80 varietals in our cellar…we are cab franc/cab sauv heavy but have plenty of options and enjoy the journey and experience learning and expanding our knowledge and pallets. Our favorite entertainment is themed food-wine pairing dinners with our fellow foodie/wino friends here in Georgia.
