This wild grape Ale is pleasant. Definitely some grapiness to it. Don’t drink bourbon with Brad!

Back south of Richmond visiting sister’s family, for niece’s graduation last week from William & Mary, so figured I’d try some local Virginia brewing. Tastes nice.

Dropped in at The Answer, western edge of Richmond. Their basic hazy, the Galactic Bounty. Really tasty!

If you’re still in Richmond and have the chance to pop out into the country for a bit, I’m a big fan of Fine Creek. If staying in Richmond proper I’d do Vasen, The Veil (very good buds with The Answer), and maybe Ardent which are all within a few blocks in Scott’s Addition

Actually my pic is Victoria Street. Bow Bar.
But your pic was near Ryrie, obviously.
I spoke with the bartender at the Bow Bar, and he steered me well. As did the bartender at Ryrie. But the Deuchars hit my sweet spot.
I was given a vertical of these 2009-2015. They all really taste about the same. Not bad just that Sierra Nevada profile.
Finally got around to try my one lone bottle of Westvleteren (blond) - a very nice Trappist as expected. Loved the honey like notes it had.

I found this in a local Whole Foods. I almost slways try a relatively reasonably priced NEIPA when it is from the NE. This one I thought was excellent!
A fan of the brewery, actually more so for their authentic dives into more traditional styles, but a very good hazie game as well

Here are a couple from when I was visiting Minnesota last week. Both are Minnesota beers. The Venn was particularly impressive by virtue of the fact that it is by far the best gluten reduced beer I’ve ever had. I did not even notice that when I was buying it – – – if I had, I would have passed. And then that would have been my loss. Honestly could not tell it was gluten reduced.
Thanks for chiming in here. I just texted the picture to a buddy who lives in Buffalo and asked him if he’s had it yet. I was curious to hear of the brewery’s reputation. Sounds like they’re a worthy stop in general. It was a bit frustrating that there’s no canning date anywhere on the can or label, but I go to this Whole Foods often enough to know that, at a bare minimum, it is very fresh to their shelves. It tasted pretty fresh to me, as well.
