What Bedrock wine are you drinking tonight?

Not really, no. They are different enough that I am happy to have them both.

2010 Old Vine Zinfandel. Wow, my last bottle was clearly not correct because this one was absolute fire! Stunning nose of violets and cinnamon with purple fruits and waves of acidity on the palate which leads to a long, medium-bodied finish and an incredible mouth-feel. This is truly prime-time right now. The current Bedrock Old Vine Zins still offer some of the best value in the wine world…but they were REALLY special in the early years of the winery. Very happy to have a few left in the cellar  @Morgan_Twain-Peterson @Chris_Cottrell

Ha! Still nailed the pics though!

And that color!!

These Once & Future wines have crazy sense memory for me. They really jolt me back in time.

Between the winemaker and the redwood fermenters it makes sense.

If he did the etched bottle for the Old Hill I’d be compelled to buy 5 cases every vintage.

Same here. And I buy a lot of Old Hill as it is.

I wonder if the revived Ravenswood, which Joel is consulting on, will have Old Hill.

How was it?

Electric color. Not ready otherwise.

Indeed. Great lighting for those pictures!

Drank my ‘21s too fast, resisting everything I have to open both Bedrock and Hardy’s ‘23s too early. Although @H_Wallace_Jr may be ready a little sooner with a big decant? I am sure there’s Yeah! color on those too!

My impression as well. Saved some for day two but the wife got to it before I could taste it. She said it was much better than on day one.

2016 North Coast Syrah with elk heart, not a better $20 syrah in the world. This thing was awesome; white pepper, floral, meaty and long finish. Wish I had 5 cases left.

Would put this against a lot of $50-100 domestic and old world syrahs. Still youthful and going strong. Going to reach out to Chris and see if they have any of this left. Wow.
