A Wineberserker Public Service Announcement
The annual Virtual Tasting Series (VTS) is ready to go. The first week kicks off the week before Thanksgiving and runs through the New Year giving those time to post a tasting note into the thread. Each week is hosted by a fellow Wineberserker who decides the theme, format, and the charity they’d like to support.
Matching Donations: if you’d like to co-host the current week by matching the donations then just post into that week’s thread “I’m matching” and any terms and conditions you’d like to add. A number of people have requested this and it’s a great idea so have look below and pick a week you’d be interested in matching.

@Frank_Murray_III is back kicking off the first week of VTS. This all started with FMIII more than 10 years ago and we’ve probably donated more than $200,000 in total to your favorite charities.
Interested in hosting a week just post here which week and we can work on a theme/etc. You pick the charity.
I’ll do all the heavy lifting, you just sit back and enjoy the fun and support for your charity.
First time hosting? Take a look at the compendium of past events for ideas. Or get creative and come up with something completely different.
I’ll take week 2 Brig, theme TBD.
Charity: Russian River Youth Center

Is it just charities, or non-profits as well? I have a couple in mind (ACLU of Missouri, for example).
I’ll take the week of Dec 18-25. Will be donating to ACLU of Missouri .
Theme: TBD

Thank you Brig for stewarding this again for us. And to Brian and Brian for also taking a week to help do something for others.
My week and the details about my charity and how you can participate is now posted. Here is the link:
I can’t believe we have been doing this for 12 years. Time moves quickly, yet doing the work remains both vital and important. I’m grateful that we can do this another year, and that I can partner with the Berserkers here to raise money for my charity, Laura’s House.
This has been my charity for a long time. My wife did her internship at Laura’s House more than 20 years ago, and it’s how she got started in building her practice. We owe Laura’s House a debt for supporting Jill’s entry into t…
Brig, fix my date, please. I revised it. 11/22 - 12/01. Thanks a lot.

I am a newbie this year in hosting a week of the virtual tasting series, but feeling particularly charitable this season. I will be donating to the ACLU of Missouri , to capitalize on the momentum…

Love a consortium! That’s good stuff.
Gotcha blocked out and I’m personally all in on the cause.
Had a brutal 2 weeks with two close friends diagnosed with cancer. Cancer sucks.

Happy Holidays.
The Riesling week is finishing up tomorrow and then we jump into the final week with Nebbiolo.
Good stuff
This is my first time hosting a virtual charity.
The Wine: Nebbiolo!
A grape I fell in love with literally in the first few weeks of my wine journey. It has been an unbroken romance for forty years and I‘ve drank so many gallons of Nebbiolo it has become my blood type. I’ve tried to replace it with Pinot Noir, Whites, Champagne, but there is just something about that first love that keeps pulling me back.
The focus for this charity is all the Nebbiolo wines – not just those from the Langhe (B…
