💋 Violin Wine--Eola-Amity Hills Explosions OFFER CLOSED--THANK YOU!

Happy Berserker Day from Violin, based in the Eola-Amity Hills of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. We are flattered by the outspoken support for some of our wines on the forum over the years, and hope to add some flavor to an otherwise broad range of delicious liquids and provisions for this seventeenth edition. 100% of the wines on offer today are grown in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA (celebrating 20 years of appellation status!)
:volcano:

It should go without saying how impressive the execution and effort by Todd, Brig, and the community has continued to be to produce such exceptional results. We are thankful for the colossal inputs and appreciate being a contributing producer. Bravo to those who maintain, organize, and participate in this ever growing landscape—proving again the inherent social magnetism around the noble beverage.

For readers unfamiliar with Violin, a brief background. I started production under the Violin label in 2013 after nearly a decade of working with several wineries in the Willamette Valley. We are fortunate to have (what I consider) the most exceptional farming partners, allowing the brand to focus on making site specific wines that I personally craft over a 15-17 month time period. Our volume has grown to approximately 2,000 bottled cases per vintage, includes some twelve or more skus, of which only three per vintage could be considered “appellation” blends in our Willamette Valley tier and Polk County CuvĂ©e. In both Pinot noir and Chardonnay our stylistic goals focus on freshness, precision, balance, and ultimately a sense of elegance. We think this framework can provide the best view of place and reflection of growing season, and trust in the benefits of bottle aging for improved sensory experience over many years. :bullseye:

Certain bottlings on offer have already been included in former Berserker Days. As such, some members of the forum have spoken to their experiences with these bottles, a possible compass for any newcomers interested in Willamette Valley selections. They may also see this as an opportunity to stock up on any favorites at such favorable pricing. For more information about our vineyard partners or our wines, please visit us online at www.violinwine.com

Thanks so much for checking out our offers, and please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.

Happy BD 17!

my friend Adam ‘First Man” Radtke and me after a long day of processing. Sept 11, 2025

Below are four separate offers, three of which include either six pack or 12 pack options. The Eola Bench offer includes more Chardonnay in its 12 Pack ‘B’ option, but this does include an increase in price.

Ordering can be done by clicking on the order form below, filling out the necessary customer information, and simply clicking on the item or items you would like.

The pricing for each selection ordered INCLUDES shipping, so there will be no additional cost above the offer price to receive the wines. We will plan for Spring Shipment to most locations. The more information that can be provided with respect to preferred shipping windows and/or receiving times will ensure us both the opportunity for success in the challenging world of fulfillment. We do our best to craft these small production wines and want more than anything for them to arrive to you safely and in the form we both should expect. Easier said than done in many cases. We apologize but cannot fulfill orders to Alaska, Hawaii, or Utah, and may require extra action for certain states.

For anyone wishing to pick up their wines from our winery in the Eola Hills, please enter the code “PICKUP” for a DISCOUNT of 20% on the order. We can communicate about a time that works for pickup and/or tasting.

We recommend building a twelve pack between the six pack offerings if you want to enjoy a broader selection. We respectfully are not willing to break things down outside of the offering volumes/increments.

Jorge, a longtime colleague and operator galore, and me helping pick Justice ‘DDW’ block to complete 2025 harvest

Offer One: Classic Pinot noir of the Eola-Amity Hills AVA

2023 Justice Vineyard Pinot noir: One of our smallest bottlings blended from two twice-filled barrels, this 2001 planting of 777 clone on the West side of the vineyard produces power and strength of frame, darker, almost purply fruit tones against strong floral perfume. We are honored to share this block with second generation winemaker Ben Casteel of Bethel Heights, who own and farm their three estate vineyards.

13.5% alcohol | 45 cases produced | $65 per bottle

2022 Temperance Hill Vineyard Pinot noir: 35+ year old vines at low density (under 900 vines per acre), this Eastern border of the iconic site grows in a protected bowl well below the pinnacle of the ridge. Exposed clusters produce unusual skin thickness, leading to dark hued and highly aromatic Pinots with crunchy exteriors, strong elements from the savory side of the spectrum, and classic concentration despite moderate alcohols.

12.9% alcohol |120 cases produced | $85 per bottle

2022 Polk County Cuvée Pinot noir: 100% Southern Eola-Amity Hills, all from mature vines including both Justice and Temperance Hill in addition to Witness Tree and Sojeau. Always soulful, poised, and leaning into expressions beyond the beautiful fruit core.

13% alcohol | 375 cases produced | $45 per bottle

–6 Pack (includes 2 of each)

–12 Pack (includes 4 of each)

View to the West from ‘12 Rows’ the gnarly vines on Temperance Hill’s Eastern perimeter

Offer Two: Eola Bench Exploration

The Southern Eola Hills include a “bench” of fractured basalt that hugs the Western ledge—the result of a fault line running the spine of the AVA. The adjacent sites Bracken and Sojeau make up the upper and mid section respectively, and together have exclusively provided our entire Chardonnay production in vintages 2023 and 2024. The three acres at Sojeau grow in a boulder field at 550 feet (the bottom of the two sites). 200 feet above, both Chardonnay and Pinot at Bracken grow on a shallow cap of the bench bending into a North slope, supplemented and co-fermented with younger plantings that run downhill from the steep forest above.

2022 Sojeau Vineyard Chardonnay: Savory above fruity, but so clean and precise. The palate is rounder and more ample than the ’21 or ’23, showing the relaxation of two years in bottle.

12.7% alcohol |100 cases produced | $65 per bottle

2023 Bracken Vineyard Pinot noir: Our first bottling from the site, a mix of clones from both mature and younger, higher altitude vines. Candied fruit characters, with medium weight, highly layered palate. Complete and long with so much unraveling to do. Also check out the many incredible wines being made by owner and vigneron @ShelbyPerkins HERE!

13% alcohol |100 cases produced | $65 per bottle

–6 Pack (Includes 3 of each)

–12 Pack ‘A’ (6 of each)

–12 Pack ‘B’ (4x ‘22 Sojeau Chardonnay, 4x ‘23 Bracken Pinot noir, 4x ‘23 Bracken Chardonnay (12.2%, racy, zesty, highly elegant | 95 cases produced | $65 per bottle)

Offer Three: ‘Tres Años en Botella’

2021 Witness Tree Vineyard Pinot noir— 1999 Pommard
2021 Koosah Vineyard Pinot noir— 2016 ‘Cosmic Pipe’ Dijon Massale

The oldest wines we have available were bottled in March of 2023 after 16 months of barrel aging, having now rested in silica containers under Diam closure for nearly three years. Gorgeous counterpoints from the 2021 vintage, a year with wonderful togetherness and focus. Koosah representing the more exuberant, fruit saturated side of the vintage from the highest block of Pinot in the AVA (‘The Cosmic Pipe’), with Witness Tree showing off the classic cool of mature Pommard vines in shallow volcanic soils, overlooking Spring Valley to the East.

–6 Pack (3 of each wine)

–12 Pack (6 of each wine)

Feel free to check out more detail on the sites from these previous offers

Offer Four: The Best and Worst Deal

The Best Deal/Worst Deal offer is exclusively involving our 2022 X-Omni Vineyard Pinot noir. It entails an eleven bottle purchase and an additional purchase of shipping and handling. For each purchase, Violin will include a FREE bottle of 2022 X-Omni Vineyard Pinot noir. This makes it possible and easy to receive a FULL 12 BOTTLE CASE of 2022 X-Omni Vineyard Pinot noir in the comfort of your very own home or business later this Spring.

About X-Omni: Planted on a Southeastern plateau of basalt above Evesham Wood’s Le Puits Sec but below Drouhin’s Roserock, the nearly 5 acre block of Pinot noir on the North side of the property includes some 20+ clones of the variety but is the outlier, with the vast majority of the site being planted to Chardonnay (where, in my opinion, the several producers, including the owners, make arguably their best examples of the variety). The low yields and high concentration set the wines in their own category, with screaming acidity (highest of any Pinot I’ve bottled in 20 years of cool climate winemaking) holding together a complex but more opulent range of fruit tones. This one will age deep into the unknown of future years and represents our only bottling from the vineyard.

Got me a case, just love your wine!

Many thanks Kevin!

I can’t see any way that X-Omni deal is a “worst”

Will’s a great host who has the nerve to also make great wine. And a fun Jazzfest vibe to his tasting room if you’re up that way. Easy grab of a Tres Anos. Thanks!
