That was a nice summary on an overall interesting discussion here, but my take is some are not as factual by taking each point alone.
Firstly, in their base and most popular Cote-Rotie, JP (Jean-Paul) currently obtain grapes from less parcels today (i.e. 20 as per the website) than in the 90’s when they had up to 25 parcels from both Cote Blonde and Cote Brune lands, as described to me by Corinne during a winery visit several years ago.
Pure guess here, but the split with Jean-Luc may have something to do with re-allocation of the parcels and hence the change in numbers.
Secondly, JP does not rack at all and relies on gravity and other means to clarify their wines.
