I dont know that anyone has defended them in their current situation. I think the assumption that theyve (whoever they is now) stolen from anyone is presumptive and not helpful at this point, though understandable if you have a lot of money at risk.
What we do know is a lot of their employees have left and customers arent getting answers about items theyve paid for. The most likely reason is they dont have the staff to respond. It doesnt seem unlikely that there are issues with the business and everyone SHOULD be concerned.
I had an order I was not sure about a few weeks ago. I emailed and got a prompt response, including directions on how to check what was in stock, and how to have it shipped. No problems whatsoever.
Since it is not immediately obvious on the website, posting here to help people who are having problems:
Option 1: Place Your Order Directly Through Your Vint Marketplace Cellar
Log into your Vint Marketplace Cellar account.
Navigate to the âPrivate Reservesâ section to view your available wines. [This is the not obvious part]
Follow the steps to initiate a delivery request.
Complete the process by selecting your desired shipping preferences, including standard or expedited options.
This is excellent, thank you. Ive been waiting for a response for over a week from them. I see all my pre arrivals are in bonded storage so going to try requesting to have them shipped.
Still trying to get a hold from them. In my case, what happens is that I know that the order arrived 7 days ago. In their system, my order still shows as âProcessingâ, but I did receive the âorder arrivedâ email from them a few months back.
Sent them another email yesterday, because I will start getting charged storage on a Monthly basis in October 1st.
Theyre definitely behind on their site. I have orders that still show âprocessingâ that i have received months ago.
I also am now not sure if my outstanding orders have been received or not. The location shows as vint (ct) so i assumed they have it, but i never did get the email saying as such. And when i try to request to have it shipped nothing shows up.
The email for me arrived on September 22nd at 3PM. The subject is âReady to Ship: Your Wine Awaits!â.
What I believe could be going on is that wine arrived in a container, they blasted the email and now everyone wants their wine shipped, so they might be seeing a surge. Of course, them not replying to me anymore and the telephone line being disconnected sounds pretty awful.
Have you tried this? You donât need to speak to a person, and it works.
The orders that are actually in stock will show up in your Private Resrves, and you can select a shipping date and method from there. No need to wait for a human to respond.
If youâre trying to get in touch with them and they wonât ship is like to think they wonât start charging you for storage or will reverse the charge on request.
I also heard back from them today. No word on why they let their phone number go out of service, they promised to ship my wine by Thursday. So I am feeling much better about the situation.
Thatâs great to hear. Sadly because they donât seem to be doing pre-orders atm I donât personally see a lot of incentive to use them, but will do if they get back to their old model at some point. Thanks everyone for the help here.
Hi, this is Nick King from Vint Marketplace. I wanted to hop in the thread here to give a quick update. We sent out many arrival notifications last week, and have been working through the backlog of tickets associated with those notifications. It is my fault that we were not prepared for influx of tickets. I am very sorry for the poor communication. We will do better going forward.
Hi Jeff - Nick King here from Vint Marketplace. That is correct. We are working through ~400 tickets at the moment related to arrival notifications. We have brought on additional resources in the last two weeks to assist here. I am sorry for the poor communication and we will do better going forward.
