Alma Rosa Sta Rita Hills Attente 2022 available later today at $29.99. I have no first hand experience, and CT reviews are limited, but this bottle has consistently high expert reviews (99 from Dunnuck on the ‘21 vintage).
It’s hard to go wrong with a good Rhone style blend!
Alma Rosa Caracol Pinot Noir 2022 up later today for $29.99. Again with limited user reviews, but the experts like it with triple 95 and double 94 ratings. 14.5% ABV, so probably a big Pinot.
Based on what I’ve read, 2022 was ok. I took a flyer on 2 bottles. Considering the expert reviews, there is very high end potential. It’s hard to see how the bottle would be bad.
For $29.99, I think it’s worth the low risk gamble.
Any thoughts on the 2010 Chateau Olivier for $59.99+tax and free shipping over $60 (buy 2 bottles of it)? They also have the 2018 vintage for $42.99 as well.
Both seem like pretty good deals.
We had the 2010 at a restaurant recently at the suggestion of the somm and it was excellent. I think we paid $185 for the bottle so this should be a no brainer but I need someone to give me some validation I guess lol.
Well apparently they tightened things up. Went back and looked at a few orders and being a few cents shy they shipped free. I just tried again with orders just sub $60 and a notice in red says must be $60. Sorry for the bad info
Ok, so a few bottles of the 2018 Rasa just showed up in inventory again. Still $29.99. I bought 2, got the message that you need $60 for free ship. Continued to checkout and they shipped for free. Maybe it’s the $2.99 handling charge that pushed it over $60?
