2022 Patty Green showing up today

I’m a big fan of Patricia Green, but WTSO was selling the single vineyards for less than this in the past… It’s still arguably a good deal.

That’s what I have from late Feb 2024.

I’m posting this, even though it isn’t WTSO related. 2019 Miner Oracle available at $28.99 from Wine text. Case buy only. Wine text is affiliated with Wine library.

Since you brought up the Oracle sale, I’ll point out that Wine Spies has the 2013 and 2 other vintages of Miner Stagecoach cab on sale today for $49. I bought a case of the Oracle yesterday so not sure about buying more Miner today.

Where do you see the two other vintages? I only see the 2013……

Read the text, it says 2 more on the way today.

You’ll need to check the website often through the day as these deals can sell out quickly, sometimes in an hour or so. As 1 sells out, another will take it’s place. I’ve noticed in my years buying from WS, that the earlier ones sell out faster and the last one will usually last until midnight. I tend to wonder if I should wait for the later ones to see if the ratings are higher or price lower. Keep in mind that if you miss buying a wine, that you can email agent brut and most times he can get you a bottle from a cancelled order or stock. His email address is:
agentbrut@winespies.com

2013 Miner now sold out and '14 is up. I predict the 3rd one will be the '15; not as good a vintage as '13 or '14 so I may jump on this '14.

:cross_mark: Wrong, try 2018! In for two!

And now gone…..23 mins later.

I have a bad feeling that I’ll be emailing them in a day or so asking if they have any of the Miner left.

The recent Red Mountain mystery offering is in fact 2020 Col Solare. Not sure if anyone confirmed that, but I’ll take it for $50!

Yes, it was col solace.
Should have picked more!

no smoke taint on red mountain in 2020?

That’s debatable for 2020 WA reds. Many notes mention smoke, any many others claim no hint of smoke taint.
Red Mountain wines are not known for elegance and refinement, so serve with grilled meat and enjoy.

Yeah, I am torn the 2020 vintage in WA. We know they had fires (I’m not sure where), and many of the wines have been on the discount circuit perhaps just due to stigma. But honestly, many of the 2020 wines have gotten good scores from critics and I’ve seen a few winemakers say that it was the best vintage ever in WA (Charles Smith and Brennan Leighton). It’s like mixed messaging, but I guess trust the scores and winemakers?

critics lie or were sent false samples. K especially.

Pribably way too late but wanted to follow up. Just opened the 2018 Calluna Estate. One hour air and this is very nice. As expected, I think it will get better with time but drinks good now as Keith stated. Since I am making Flannery hanger tonight I decided to try now and figured if a bit stern the meat will help it some. I don’t think it needs the beef. I see it is still available and even though I have plenty, thinking of adding more.

Edit to add that it tastes like the listed 13.8 alcohol. This isn’t a monster cab. It isn’t thin and lacking either. It is what I look for in that it is full of flavor without being heavy or overripe.
