Official Costco Thread

One nuance is that instant rebate doesn’t always show up in the app whereas is it will show up at the register. And in my state instant rebate is also taxable.

Good info. I haven’t seen a rebate on alcohol in Illinois.

I suspect it’s very State dependent and I don’t even see consistency between local warehouses here. For example, the Bibi Gratz Testamatta which has been of some discussion upthread will be $40 headline price at one Warehouse and $50 headline price in another but with a $10 instant rebate.

Not much new of interest in SLO. Lanson was available at $32, and there were a few assorted Chablis around. The 2016 Giscours doesn’t seem to be moving. I picked up one of the 2019 Le Coteau Margaux to try at $15 but that was it.

St. louis starting to see some new 22 Bordeaux showing up at least at the South St. louis location. Canon-la-Gaffeliere (99.99 so not a great price) and Malescot St Exupery. (67.99). They finally sold off their last 21 LLC.

Good to hear. Been waiting for some in KC and I think we mirror STL stores likely due to same distributors. We’ve had Malescot St Exupery for a bit (2 months?) but I’d like to see others. Still siting on 21 LLCs at a few local stores.

McKinney, TX… snagged the last bottle of Sassicaia and a Haut Bailly. Not pictured, 1 remaining bottle of Asterisk at $99.97 and plenty of World Cap Taittinger at $19.97.

Why can’t other Texas Costcos be more like McKinney?

In Huntington Beach tonight, the Lanson were also at $32 like in SLO.

  • More Bollinger in. L26 release at the usual $60.
  • 2025 Chateau Des Charmes Vidal Ice Wine which is not even in CT yet. Somehow that amuses me.
  • Always at least one notable white at this location. Today’s was 2023 Joseph Mellot Touraine Chenonceaux for $22. Didn’t bite but probably worth a taste at that price. CT reference a Les Jardins de Diane bottling which seems like a more select bottling than this one looks like.

Whoa!!! I’d buy first ask questions later with those LLC — I paid just a bit less for the '19s four years ago during the Costco '19 Bdx. bonanza. Sassicaia a no-brainer, and I would have bought the Haut Bailly, too, but probably would have grabbed all in the bin. I feel like I never see deals like that in my area.

Wish I could’ve bought more but I’m not local to DFW (visiting for work) and was limited to the couple bottles that would fit in my now checked carry-on bag. But the thought of renting an SUV for a one-way drive home did cross my mind…

I propose renaming this thread to “Deals that others found at Costco and you never will”.

Yep - Seattle SoDo (store #001) is blowing out the Tablas Creek Patelin rose for $8.99, but it’s showing up in the app still at $22.49 because the discount is an ‘instant rebate’

I grabbed two of these, well worth $9, They are also at Issaquah, presumably for the same rebate prices.

Was about to ask the same thing. There were 3 last week I think. Saw them gone from the app when I checked a couple hours ago. Sigh….

I was hoping to go in this evening and see if I could talk them down into the 200s.

Not I.
