I would give the Feuillatte a try at that price — could be a great party sparkler.

It’s okay, not especially interesting and seems to be higher dosage, but that’s an attractive price for parties (of less geekier friends).

I did grab a bottle for a Xmas party tonight with friends. Friends will be happy to drink it and $20

Thanks, Al. Sounds serviceable for the stated purpose.

I think its better than the kirkland stuff, and now cheaper.

21’ Sociando Mallet at the San Juan Capistrano Costco for $37. Passed on this, probably was a buy.

I’d buy some Carillon, that Douro is a good wine too for $10.

I had one of these C block Heitz from the '70s, many years ago, and it was super. I had not realized it was so plentiful that it could be offered in Costco.

I would definitely check-out that Vallado for ten bucks. Granted, that is their entry-level bottling, but that’s a great price, and they generally make very good to excellent wines. If I see that around me I’ll buy a tester bottle, and may possibly return for cases.

I like Luis Gutierrez’s palate, so his 91 and description would push me to the case number if I was filling out cellar defenders or BBQ wine for spring.

I was at the Carlsbad Costco yesterday and the assortment of Bordeaux there was wide and well priced. I felt guilty taking a picture and posting it.
