Agreed. But as I said some other thread , I bought 3 different DN wines and they were all great and bargains .
That being said, I do think if Cameron told some of those fanatics to jump off a bridge to get MacDonald juice (not wine) they would do it

In that case isnāt the only party that loses out the company that buys the brand? Even if these are cheap wines being sold cheaply no one is really suffering.
Exactly and if they understood that they would be a little less gullible and they wouldnāt be having the conversations they are having over there. He needs to build a brand with X number of repeat customers, X number of distribution channels and a few more metrics to get the revenue multiplier he wants. This isnāt about $10-$20 bottles of wines. This is about tens of millions of dollars potentially selling a brand
Have you said that on the CamX thread ?
Literally nobody really gave a shit the last time he did it and walked away. In fact, most people stopped buying the old brand and just started buying the new one. It sounds like more like he is the brand.
They donāt want anybody to burst the bubble of their fantasy. They are choosing blind trust
Exactly. It is him not the wine. Enjoy your $20 Opus.
Iāll probably like it better than Merry Edwards SB anyway
I can never get Davidās story straight. Is the wine shit and Cam is lying about the sourcing? Or is Cam telling the truth, losing money on every bottle, and getting ready to sell the business in a few years?
Itās actually quite simple. People have been asking questions and are increasingly asking questions. All sorts of theories are being put out there as to why heās doing what heās doing. The answer is the same for every question.
Business guy is trying to make money. News at 11.
As opposed to the totally altruistic wine producers that David Baum is a customer of. Those ones are charities, I assume.
Wow, thatās a stretch. The issue is not whether someone is trying to make money. The issue is how much money is at stake and what someone will say or do to make that. I have no idea what he will say or do. Neither do you.
But when you are asking yourselves those questions over there Itās a good idea to keep that one answer in mind
Heās got a good business marketing model that does well cyclically when grape gluts occur and he pays pennies on the dollar.
I donāt think Cam is buying a bunch of SHS or Opus shiners waiting to be labelled, most likely odd lots and blending them to make best wine possible and saying the Cabernet got 98-100. Way back when KS Vodka was supposedly Grey Gooseā¦what most donāt understand is GG sells NGS on open market and while it could be NGS from Grey Goose, its not really Grey Gooseā¦same thing with rumored Macallan, its NGS, not actually barrelled down Macallan.
Pretty sure when he sold CH to VWE it was an assumption of debtā¦donāt recall specifically will have to look it up.
I loved the IB scotch industry, always got one off interesting stuff that the big boys couldnt blend away. Was a great business model, but most understood it wasnt a cheaper way to get the real deal.
Looks lonely, hopefully you did the right thing and adopted it.
Well, I have one already (that I paid $60 more for), so I left it for the next lucky Costco shopper. Did clean them out on their last nine Kirkland Barolos though⦠![]()
More limited edition bourbon showing up in Twin Cities - Little Book The Infinite II at Woodbury, MN store.
I saw Lanson Rose today, IIRC, marked down from $47 to $29.
Is it worth it as a decent party fizz?
