De Negoce offer (Part 2)

Okay, I’ll bite, but what I’m interested in is probably not what the majority of people on this thread will pursue (ie, big cabs). Speaking of cabs, 447 has gotten some praise as sleeper, value-priced, relatively accessible wine with good balance. Sounds a bit like the 181. I have enough of the high end, spectacular cabs, so six of the 447 sounds good to me. I’m also tempted by some more 353 Shiraz which has been very enjoyable. Sadly dN has turned away from the international offers so popular under Cam.
Of the whites, I have been impressed by the 403 Pinot Gris and I’m wondering if the 461 Pinot Grigio is comparable. And maybe a sauv blanc.

We have way too much dN Cab. But we enjoy them and drink 3-4 per week it seems. Sadly (maybe) my favorites are the Walla Walla and Horse Heaven versions, palate fit is a likely reason, and no Washington wine sold during new ownership. Anyway, not really needing any Cali Cab now, and they seem to always be available via dN.

What I may do during the sale is sample Zin and Merlot. We have not tried an dN Zin (stock mainly Turley as a club member), and have enjoyed the couple of dN Merlots we have tried, again one of those from Walla Walla.

Best white dN I tried was the Albarino, but it sold out, so not likely shopping for any whites.

ETA. I loaded up a mixed case of Zin/Merlot in my Cart, and have $28 in credits, making it ~$220. I’ll leave it there until the sale starts and see what the Black Friday discount amounts to, before pulling trigger. Speaking of pulling trigger, I may get shot if more wine shows up at our house.

Had my eyes on PN 434…The reviews on the DN site look pretty good. Maybe I will jump on some. I already have 6 of PN 479. Anybody excited on these PNs:
485?
493?
501?

No reviews yet on CT or DN site…

David,
Most these wines are pretty young, even 434, a 2022 PN I think was bottled March of so this year. Get a nice 30% discount and flex that CC limit baby.

Cheers, Tim

Had a N.353 Shiraz over the past 2 evenings, and it’s very good.
If I didn’t have 11 left…

Curious about the N.447; I don’t have that one.

Black Friday special up. Enjoy 30% off wines in the bottle shop which were originally offered for 60 to 80% off. Happy Thanksgiving!

Lot 500 and 497 have made a reappearance.

Meh. DN just isnt compelling to me anymore. Its been a great run with some really good wines but appears the party is over, for me.

Lot 500 sold out, couldn’t get it in the cart fast enough. Missed it it on the tranche 1 offer figured I’d grab 6, oh well.
Any thoughts on 496 vs. 497?

First, it’s dN. Second, cool. You are done with dN. Thank you for your service and the 4 others who quickly thumbed this post up. LOL.

No bottle shop wine for me, I have 100s of bottles to work through. I am interested in whatever case offerings they might show us though.

Can someone recommend one of the Sauvignon Blanc’s to me? I’m leaning towards lot 460 just because it a 2023 and was aged in Stainless Steel, but don’t really know.

John,
30% sale, mix n match some of those SB’s??? I ordered some of those 2023 SB’s but have not tried any yet, still finding these DN whites need decent amount of bottle time. Still have 5 bottles of OG N.121 a Fume style SB that’s really great still.

Cheers, Tim

Thank goodness Lot 442 Petite Sirah and Lot 499 Howell Mountain Cab Sauv ‘Sold Out’ quickly during the launch of this year’s Black Friday sale, saving me the trouble of finding yet more storage spaces for wine to be opened 2028 onward . . . . . . .

It will be interesting to see what dN offers pop up online during the course of the day.

You get a heart for using the correct “dN” acronym.

100s? I guess that’s the right unit if you have fewer than 2000.
