De Negoce offer (Part 2)

Complete thread drift - but I actually appreciate your chiming in on this and many threads on WB, and on a few FB groups I see you in as well. Like you said maybe your style doesn’t appeal to all but I love it :joy:.

Here’s a link to a WS listing of $150 World’s End with a 95 score:

Wineslash emailed earlier with more info about the wine too:
We can’t say too much. However, we can tell you the wine comes from the 2019 Oakville Beckstoffer Heritage Vineyard, is labeled as such, and has a glowing 95 Jeb Dunnuck review.

Just in case anyone here would like to stock up on some yummy protein:

A friendly nod to Cameron, this probably goes well with wine? :wine_glass::yum::cut_of_meat:

Re n.500 shipping yesterday during a heat wave…such a bummer, but I’m thankful up this thread a bit I was reminded of the language that included “ships this week”. So I can handle that. But with the short notice, there was no way to plan for the delivery…I was at work in meetings and my wife was working from home as usual. But at 12:05 today she was leading an important zoom call with 10 parties on it when UPS showed up. She rightly focused on what allows us to pay for the wine rather than the wine…So we got a note. As I sit here in my backyard at 5:26 it’s lovely but 95 degrees. Maybe not as hot for the wine to sit on the truck over the weekend…. But despite their “ships this week” note…pretty silly of DN to ship this week regardless. Live by the sword

They seriously shipped this week without advance notice? Ouch

I was informed at 7:42 last night that it had shipped and to expect it today. But I’m often notified out of the blue on weeks- or months-old orders. In the spring we were on a camping trip and the wine sat on the truck for 5 days…but much cooler weather. With a few days notice you can set yourself up for success. Again, live by the sword

Thanks Larry. I keep tabs on this tread as it’s really interesting and entertaining. I picked up a mixed case.

Tick tock - just a heads up that the one day sale ends at 9pm PST . . .

Cheers

Just know that if they show up leaking, they wont take them back as they only guarantee quality until 1st delivery attempt.

Do they even guarantee quality anymore?

I’m getting 499 and 500 delivered today. Dead smack in middle of the heat wave. We’ll see how they look.

Good question. I just have it in writing that if there is a missed delivery they dont care even when all bottles show up cooked and leaking.

So question, if there is “no” missed delivery day and the bottles show up cooked and leaking, they do care?

Absence of evidence is not evidence of absence. Not sure, I just know they removed any signs of satisfaction guarantees from their marketing, so I bet they dont really care no matter what.

FWIW, they did tell me to let them know if the wine comes damaged. We’ll see in a few hours!

Nice…thanks for keeping us posted… will damage to you be, “pushed” up corks?

My case traveled down the 5 all day yesterday, and now is sitting out in Rialto, then being delivered on Monday.

Yah pushed up corks or seepage. I’ve actually never had it happen before.

84F- suboptimal
delivered @ 11:30am, glad it was fairly early. Currently 95F @ 1pm.

Now that I hold the bottle in my hand, I do like the label!
It is very clear easy to read, and the lot number is extremely easy to distinguish.
The old lot # light type was subject to selection mistakes by chronologically and optically challenged customers. :wine_glass:

New print on the cork ends. QR code on back label.
I sure hope and expect that this is yummy booze.
