If it’s not confirmed MACDONALD, I’m not buying. Sorry, not sorry.

(I’ve purchased 150+ cases from Cameron bc Matt has confirmed them all)

Whoever guesses this one correctly wins a big stuffed animal.

Glad they corrected the typo. Wasn’t sure if the year 202 was a good year…I was about to back up the chariot.

Rutherford Ranch Winery(Reserve) ?

The 2021 Rutherford Ranch Malbec got mixed with 24% Cabernet. Not saying this is not the 2022, but would that change the blend that much one year later?

is Lot 22 a 2022 (description) or 2023 (label and link/address)?

Good catch. The label does show 2023…but the page shows 2022. The plot thickens.

Good catch…the wine is 2022 vintage. Will fix label!

Is a label fix going to push back shipments any appreciable amount?

He just meant the digital label in the mock up on the website, I am sure.

The Peju tech sheet lists the AVA as ‘Napa Valley’ - are you sure that malbec is from their home Rutherford vineyard instead of purchased fruit? Either way, I feel like Cam typically touts ‘estate’ whenever possible and didn’t do so here…so think we’re looking for a $75 Rutherford Malbec made from purchased fruit (so that would eliminate Round Pond, this Peju guess, etc.). Just my opinion.

It appears that Melrose Vineyard has been single-vineyard designated by both Adobe Road & Jean Edwards (each with price-tags around $75)…just not in the past few years that I can currently locate? That said, Cam also typically touts ‘single vineyard’ whenever possible and didn’t do so here either…so neither of those guesses are solid either…and I have a hard time imagining a winery charging $75 for their malbec if not single-vineyard-designated.

This guess is turning out to be much more difficult than I initially anticipated. Love it!

Yeah, not sure, but could easily be it’s just one of their lots from one of their estate vineyards. Either way, I like discourse and don’t have a perfect guess.

Amazing that no one has tasted a single one of these CAM X wines so far and we dive into the river as lemmings ready to blindly order in anticipation(s). Four cases of Malbec headed to the SC upstate (mine, son, two friends)

Cam has streetcred!
I bought the Malbec even though I questioned whether it was a 22 or a 23, bringing me up to 15.5 cases of CamX
