IT’S A JOKE
Ok, in the spirit of “a joke is always funnier if you explain,” let me try…
Since THE BEGINNING OF TIME, some 10,000++ posts ago, there is a long-standing, running joke that all de Nogoce (dN, if you please), and CAM X wine are all MACDONALD.
The KING of this ruse has always been @MatthewT
[That ruse is inherently funny, because we all know that is not true, and we are kind of poking fun at ourselves for allowing ourselves to believe we are getting the hardest wine to get in Napa for just a couple of dollars.]
Lot 14 is for Founding Members only. FM were asked not to post too many details about the offer on public forums.
@JDutko posed an abbreviated version of the email that went to FMs, removing some of the “secret” parts.
Fulfilling his role as the KING of the MACDONALD ruse, Matt “edited” the email posted by JDutko, to make it sound like the FM were obviously getting an offer from MACDONALD. Even though they were not. Because Matt edited it. And it is his role as KING to make the MACDONALD joke.
Adding to the humor, when @Alan_Newman, who was not in on the joke, “guessed” that it was MACDONALD, Matt “scolded” him for releasing a name, because Cam asked us not to. Even though we all know it is not the name. But it is funny because Matt wanted people to think it was the name. Because that is his job as the KING.
Pretty good joke when it is all explained, right?!
