Christmas in July. Lot 12 coming in hot and is really tight right now.
Corks all still where they should be. That’s a good sign.
It’s high 70s in SoCal so I don’t worry much about wine being cooked.
After reading this review and seeing the color of the wine, I’m regretting my purchase of #12.
Thank you for sharing, now I don’t’ have to pay MT’s premium to get some.
7 boxes today

Sorry to see the Styrofoam shippers

Bottles in the mid 70’s F. 78F here now.
Sleeping away, until the future.

Surprised, confused and somewhat concerned however, thanks for taking the time and effort to share.
Cam’s write-up for Lot 12 I personally placed in the highly enticing ‘wine-porn’ category and as such, had quickly reserved / paid for 3 cases (all of which are on Summer hold). This is close to $700 allocated because I trust Cam and continue to do so for going on 12 -13 years now.
Opaque, squid ink is certainly not what we are seeing in your particular photographed glass - Cherryade springs to mind
Any change in color / density since you popped that cork yesterday?
I’m not as negative quite yet, but that #12 doesn’t appear dark in the glass or your little subdivisions. Doesnt make a lot of sense for the grape and alcohol level, so I’m gonna reserve judgement until I’ve tasted and seen it myself. Have to think this guy’s got a spotlight in his house.
Btw. wtf is that glass used for? Hope not tasting.
Jamie,
Don’t worry be happy.
It’s Priced like a Supermarket dud.
In Cam I trust
Beautifully excellent new Label!
Lovely, My son is also “Cam”
Tomorrow’s troubles never come?
I like a styrofoam cup for my fancy wines.
Keeps it cool
I take my shippers to a wine sales business that also stores my wine and they use them for shipping wine. If you live in or around Santa Rosa, CA, I can recommend a reasonably priced wine locker business where I store my wine. It’s roughly $700 a year to store about 21 cases.
Just got an email saying the lot 17 sale ends at midnight.
Thanks Norm,
I can easily fit over 90 cases under the house.
At 30 cases consumption per year, only a 3 years supply. It’s ok, I’ll get by……
I know “you don’t drink the label”.
Visually my preference is from left to right.
Sonja liked the second to the right the original dN label, recency bias?
I age many of my wines more that most WBers it seems, so I place the ones that I plan to drink in 3 - 8 years from now into cold storage in this local wine locker. The 60+ cases I keep at home will be drank within 3 years or so, if I live that long.
I hate the new dN labels. I think I like OG dN label best there. CAM one is pretty good though.
Ditto!
It’s also helpful that my son (Scott Campbell Boyd, Jr.) has always gone by Cam!
Not by X, hmmmm….
The X on the new labels remind me of the Sarah Jessica Parker wines you see at grocery stores.
