I subscribed to WineText but their shipping policy has changed and I cannot get WineText free shipping any more even having Library Pass (unless you buy a case of the same wine). But I do regularly check Last Shot monthly deals and buy almost every month with free shipping.
Wine.com is having a sale, and they actually have some things I want to buy. Alas, there hasnt been a deal on giftcards in a long time, and i dont see any cash back on the apps. Someone mentioned a 30 off 150 code abive, which is a good start, but not a great deal yet. Anyone see anything else?
Wine Access (ref link) offer for 50 off 150 using code FEBRUARY50. Also stack with $150+ free shipping before the discount.
It said personal sale, but seems to work with anything.
I received that, as well. Trying to decide what the best purchase would be.
Thank you - code worked. I find myself buying sake from this site more than anything else and 4 bottles hit $150 on the nose.
Could you find any wine worth buying? I looked but nothing caught my eye.
Which sakes are good? I really know nothing about the category.
I’m no sake expert either but the Kumaya Shuzo Tokubetsu Junmai AN is a pretty regular buy for me. I’ve enjoyed most of the ones they carry, they seem pretty well-selected, with the exception that the “Chapter” series that they hype up a lot has always been too sweet for me.

Plus a $30 off $100 AMEX deal.
I bought some Champagne—nothing particularly exciting on their site.
Yeah, many of their wines are way over WS price.
I grabbed the flooring though
- 2016 CVNE GR $49
- 2012 Pecchenino Bussia Barolo $60
- Heavensake $70
Yep, I was also able to stack the AMEX $30 off $100 with the $50 off $150 code, absolutely crazy value play once hitting the $150 threshold.
I’m stocking up on 2020 Barolo these days: I went for 2x of the 2020 Fenocchio Barolo Bussia. Even ignoring the high score outlier WA is touting, this should be an absolute banger for $30/bottle all in for a traditional-leaning producer.
To round out the order, I picked up a Pietradolce 2020 Etna Rampante as I’m building up my Etna Rosso selections opportunistically.
I checked my Amex Skymiles Blue and Gold cards. No offers unfortunately
I couldn’t resist. I used an Amex with the $30 off $100 offer, so my net will be $88.95 delivered for these. The Laherte bottling has a lot of fans, and the Aeris Etna Bianco was tasted by @TomHill not long ago with some positive comments
I went with the 2021 “Good Decisions Oakville Cabernet”…with the $50 off 4-bottles my order came to $114…to those also referring to the Amex $30 off $100, I almost always use my Amex card for wine purchases, and I used this promotion about a year ago, so I guess it is no longer available to me because it is not offerred to me any longer…
I also considered the Fennochio. I’m much more bullish on 19 and 21 than 20, but 20 is also solid and I’m sure that will be a good value considering the discount. The more forward '20 vintage may also suit Fennochio’s somewhat backward, traditional style. Ultimately went with Champagne though.
That’s the picture I have as well, that '20 is a forward vintage. I have bought very little since the '16 vintage. '19 may well be a great vintage, but it sounds rather backwards and the better wines will take 20-30 years to come around. I’m focused on '20 for more accessible wines over the 10-15 year range, and will probably target some '21s selectively for longer term. I do like the concept of a traditional producer in a more open vintage.
With that amex offer, a magnum of Billecart-Salmon Brut Rose was $110 (190 - 50 - 30) with free shipping… pretty good !

Code + referral credit won’t stack.
Probably because the $190-50 puts you at $140 and $150 is needed for the $50 referral to hit
