Best deal/coupon for on-line wine shopping

DVNO (dvnowine.com) offers 20% all in stock until 09/26. Small selection, but good pricing on Italian wines. Free shipping within CA.

Email blast from wine.com is 40% off “summer wines”. Lots and lots of rosé and some other wines most would consider summer wines but there is a ton of red Zinfandel. Do they really consider Zinfandel from Limerick Lane, Amapola et al a summer wine? Or is their “expert” who picked them confused with white Zinfandel?

40% off their normal prices probably puts them at standard retail…

It’s considered a “summer wine” by many because it goes well with BBQ, grilled meats and hamburgers.

That makes sense. I grill when it is 30 degrees out so I didn’t think of it that way. I was thinking more of a hot weather wine.

I still got a $10 Amex dining benefit for this month and with the 10% Rakuten, might be worth having a look.

Anyone find anything worth while? Pretty open to just about anything as long as it’s pretty much ready to drink.

LdH in my market.

If you like aged Barbaresco, just found this at WDC: Produttori del Barbaresco Barbaresco Montefico Riserva 1999 for $79.97

That’s not a bad price to begin, given the age. Combine that with 10% off from Rakuten (and in my case $10 off from Amex), and it’s a pretty decent deal. Because it ends in .97, it won’t work with promo codes, but not bad either way.

Grabbed a half bottle of Krug GC - we’ll see what eme when it arrives. 10% off plus Amex credits makes it a fair deal with shipping. I do have a $20 off $100 that might go towards two bottles of 2020 Geyserville or Massican SB. Or some random Bordeaux (our local pricing on Bordeaux is stupid) EXPERT20 if anyone hasn’t used it.

**Edit/Update - I’ve had issues with Google Pay. The transaction runs through correctly and lists as pending, but earlier uses of the offer disappeared. I’ve had a very drawn out and slow support response from Google Pay, and they finally claimed I didn’t satisfy the terms of the offer, but won’t say which part of the terms. I’ll update again if they provide clarification, but the terms only reference “if you link to the same offer on more than one site, your qualifying transaction will only be eligible for rewards or benefits associated with the offer through the most recently linked site.” Per my reading, a 5% offer from Google Pay is not the same offer at all to another offer from another site at a completely different rate and with different terms.

Have Raise giftcards issue has been fixed for WDC? Wanna use it in conjunction with the 10% cb, but had issue last time I bought them

I bought one on 9/5 for $25 just to check and it worked…BTW it’s with 10.3% discount today

Should have clarified. I am CA. So sadly neither the Produttori nor the Massican SB are available.
Would have bitten on the Barbaresco for sure.

Thank you all for the suggestions regardless!

This feels like a significant moment. I just placed a WDC order using a $50 coupon and 10% cash back. Did I get some amazing deals? Not particularly. But it’s great to see Rakuten back in action, and the whole thing gives me pings of nostalgia.

If 100rokt $100 off $300 still worked WDC would have sucked me back in.

But alas, the promo code was “not recognized.”

Was able to get '15 Pichon Baron for $125 after a $20 off coupon and 10% cash back. Not a crazy deal, but certainly not a bad one.

Rakuten is now back to 2%. :person_shrugging:

Didn’t get to buy anything. The markup price so high, even with coupon + cb, it’s still not super tempting.

I did ok yesterday stacking 10%Raise/10%Rakuten/$30Amex/50/200.
$200 netted down to $110 all in.
