What’s that one bottle you always restock, no matter what? Could be a comfort wine, a crowd pleaser, or just too good for the price. Let’s hear it.
Domaine Brana Irouléguy Harri Gorri Rosé
We drink cases of this a year, and restock when the new vintage arrives, almost every year.
Marc Hébrart Champagne Premier Cru Brut Rosé
Selbach-Oster Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese
Felsina Chianti Classico
There have been others. Some are no longer made (Edmunds St. John Rocks & Gravel), and others are more expensive, and so become occasional purchases (Pierre Peters Cuvée de Réserve).
Love that! It’s great when a wine hits that perfect balance and keeps you coming back. What makes it a repeat buy for you?
Nowadays, really just Realm The Bard (and I think still Maybach Materium and Greer).
Great choices! Marc Hébrart Rosé and Selbach-Oster Riesling are top quality picks. Felsina Chianti is always reliable. Too bad about Edmunds St. John, but Pierre Peters is worth the splurge. Noticed any vintage differences?
Carlisle in general, and always go heavy on Papera.
It’s one of the most versatile food pairing tools I know. Plus it’s just delicious.
A Tribute to Grace, D’Issan, Cattleya pinots
We splurge a little.
The Peters does vary disgorgement to disgorgement. I don’t mind that, nor does my wife.
Damn you Sarah! Of course I want to try but it seems none of this exists in the states.
Goodfellow Berserkers Cuvee Chardonnay. And Whistling Ridge Chardonnay. And a few other Goodfellow.
Absolutely - I wish I would have purchased on BD16, such an amazing wine
For me, Gonon St Joseph and Les Iles Feray, as much as I can
I’m afriad we buy most of it. The 2022 isn’t as dark as the 2021, which I like a lot. Haven’t tried 2022 yet, though.
Agree on Gonon but where I was buying 6-12 of the 2015 I’m now down to 1-2 bottles.

Bedrock Ode to Lulu rose
The only list I’m on is Sandar & Hem. I love Rob’s wines, both red and white. That’s a yearly case+ purchase. Like David Bueker, I purchased Edmunds St. John every year.
As a kinda out of the box scenario, I assist in bottling at some local wineries. Neely, Treasure Island Wines, and at Ed Kurtzman’s facility. The latter two have many different wineries. TI is where Sandar & Hem is made. Ed has his own wineries (Sandler, August West) plus around a dozen(?) others. Payment is either cash, wine, or a combination of both. As long as I keep bottling, I’ll keep “buying” their wines on a regular basis.
Just as an aside, I haven’t bought a case of any one wine in probably 40 years. I like variety. Sure, there are wines I could deal with having a case of, but they would be totally out of my budget! For just everyday drinking wines, I’d get bored with them after a few bottles.
