Yeah, parking is interesting sometimes, since the Domaine entrances are in kind of a back alley…they have two spots right in front of the big garage door that goes down to the delivery ramp. If the door is open, just park on the ramp, or in one of those spots in front of the door if it’s closed. Worst case, there’s are a couple public parking garages right nearby, once on Connecticut ave and one around the side on Veazey terrace.
Nope, around back…behind CVS, right next to the CVS parking spots and the electric car charging station. There’s a blue fence and an awning over the Domaine door.
Good deal. At least now I won’t be wandering around like an aimless donkey. Can’t wait to see this place. Do you guys use the Premier or Standard Storage option?
I do Standard, since I go up there fairly often, especially during shipping season, and half the fun to me is doing inventory and logging everything into CT myself
If I never made it up there, and didn’t like playing on CT, I would have done Premier.
I love CT, but I slacked off and stopped keeping track. Plus I was bad at keeping track of consumed bottles. So essentially I’d be starting from scratch. Too daunting to tackle myself.
Interesting. Last time I was was in that store I was poking around their “basement” cellar.
On the floor were some old looking rarified bottles with tags…1910 Lafite, 1919 Chateau Margaux, etc, etc. Curious, I was picking them up, looking at fill, label, capsule, etc, turning them around looking for the price tag.
Within a few minutes of that, a woman came down and informed me that those bottles were “the property of private clients who store their wine with us”.
Guess it was a good thing I didn’t step on and break one!
Hi Jeb - Mo here from Domaine Wine Storage. Look forward to seeing you on Saturday! And thank you to all who have given positive notes on our services here at Domaine - we enjoy having you all and look forward to long partnerships with each of you!
I had that luxury until in moved to DC. Now I have about 800 sq feet. But I like it a lot better than Fairfax, aside from the less space and no room for wine. But unless I’m mistaken it sounds like you’re offering to house my wine. You’re the best!
In addition to Wine Rack, Wide World of Wines and now Domaine Wine Storage, Security Storage on Florida near Conn. Ave. offers, or used to offer, wine storage. There’s the place in Fairfax that Kevin mentioned (Stor-All), plus the place up near BWI, Safe Harbor Wine Storage.
I agree with all the positive comments about Domaine’s service and facilities; parking’s limited, but I think they’re trying to arrange something in-building.
I am a big fan of Domaine. Before some of us moved into Storeall, they had high vacancy. A few friends moved in and now the issue is they want to increase the rate annually.
Hey Mo! Domaine is where we send all of our customers who are looking for storage. And all have been very thankful for it. I have 3 lockers there, but trying to work on a good deal for one the big ones…
