Which De Negoce Wine Would You Purchase

I just purchased a case of Lot 354 2021 Barossa Valley Centenarian Vine Shiraz. I’ve been wanting to try their wine and for a $99 a case offer I felt I had nothing to lose.

My question is which of the currently advertised wines on their website, if any, would anyone buy.

Thank you.

You might want to review this thread first lol

Well. We live and learn. I’ve thrown away $99 before and will probably do it again. It’s not much of a cost to learn a lesson.

Will try the wine and see what I feel.

Thank you David.

#354 is one of the cases that do not belong in the “did, but should not have” category, if you like that style of Aussie Shiraz. It’s a very nice wine.

I absolutely love Shiraz wine. One of my favorite types so I figured I would give it a chance. I’m noticing a lot of conflicting opinions on this board concerning DN. Some buying case loads and others bashing them. I guess I’ll have to try it myself. Like I stated $99 is not much of a loss to learn with.

Have you tried posting on the massive de Negoce thread? That’s probably going to be your best bet, because outside of the super loyal de Negoce fans on that thread (its kinda like a full on subculture of this board), you’re probably not going to find many people here that are really into those wines.

Which thread would my question belong best on?

There appear to be many of them.

Thank you

Theyve historically had big sales around Black Friday, so may want to wait a couple weeks.

Francesco - it is hard to give a good answer not knowing what you like and the fact that there are differing opinions as to the quality and QPR of the wines. Apologies if I have this wrong, but it sounds like you are early in your wine adventure and if it were me, I would not buy cases of wine I have not tasted/based on what someone else likes just because they are inexpensive/supposed back-up-the-truck bargain. There are a number of threads on how to buy smart across the many styles and regions to dial in your preferences before committing to a case purchase. There are some people who enjoy the variety so much, they never buy more than a few bottles of any one wine. As noted above, we have already seen a number of regrets of folks who have bought a lot of wine that they aren’t getting much pleasure in drinking. And the one target you want to hit is to enjoy drinking the wine you have in your cellar. For me personally, I am at the stage where my target is to drink twice as good half as often. I do wish I had pursued that with more discipline earlier in this hobby.

Very good advice. Yes I’m early on but I do have preferences. I like Syrah/Shiraz, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, I like bold wines mostly.

I won’t jump the gun and buy cases and cases. I took a shot with the one case because it’s Shiraz and the price of $99. I’ve blown more on worst things. I appreciate your advice and it is very sound.

I was just trying to gauge what members ideas are overall. If there were any on the website people would recommend currently

Thank u

I would also sign up for WTSO.com . They have multiple offers per day on different wines, and many times your can get some real value from their offers.

I receive wine from them. Yes you can get good discounts on some wines. I’ve purchased some nice cabs from them deeply discounted
