Slight preference for the Sky Grenache, which surprised me.
Cool blend!
A grab bag of rosés I didn’t get around to posting over the past few weeks:
• 2024 T Berkley Rosé of Cabernet Franc
A great BD purchase. A year extra slumber time since my last taste has mellowed this out nicely. Strawberry, lavender and chalk. Delightful.
• 2023 Goodfellow Rosé of Pinot Noir.
Watermelon/strawberry, tarragon. Gets better and better every time I taste it. Somehow I wound up with quite a bit of this, very happy about that.
• 2022 Sabelli- Frisch Milk Fed 9 Mission Somers Vineyard.
Cranberry/cherry, fennel seed, dried hay, with an unusual creamy mouthfeel in the middle. Love everything @Adam_Frisch does with mission.
I miss that Mission rose. The bottle with the label is
. Wine ain’t too bad either.
Been a hot few weeks in Myrtle Beach, making it perfect for a good time for rose’.
A killer 6L of Aix for a 4th of July party on the beach! It lasted all the way to the time the fireworks kicked off.
Picked up a six pack of 2022 from a K&L auction for $13 a bottle. Brilliant rose’ of sangiovese.
As for the Cottanera… Man this was outstanding! Rose’ of Nerello from Etna. How did I not know this was a thing for around $20?
2023 Black Star Farms Pinot Noir Arcturos Rosé
This Northern Michigan wine is 100% Pinot Noir from the Montana Russ, Capella and Isador’s Choice vineyards. I last had the 2017 vintage of this wine. This was a nice well-rounded Rose’. The color was a medium pinkish orange. Notes of raspberries and cherry notes. Softer tannins. 87 points.

2024 Domaines Ott Côtes de Provence Rosé Château de Selle
A blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah and Mourvèdre from terraced vines which average 22 years in age. I’ve only had this wine once before in the 2010 vintage. Pale pink color. Rather smooth with a silky texture. Notes of wet stones, minerals and a lower fruit profile. Lighter acidity. 91 points.

My pictures didn’t catch the label, but this was 2021 Tempier Bandol Rosé. Just glorious on a summer night with nigh-unto-perfect Salade Niçoise. Of all the classic pairings, none is more consistently satisfying than great procencal rosé and niçoise.
This is just great allaround Rose despite I get a feeling the 2025 flirts bit more with residual sugar vs fruit than earlier. But when one handles various foods, pleases as a patio sipper and knows all the moves of a crowd pleaser so what’s not to like in a +25degC weather here in the northern end of a sivilization. Glad I ordered my full case as usual.
2024 Domaine Maby Tavel Prima Donna
Took this to a farm bbq. 65% Grenache and 35% Cinsault. First time having a wine from this estate. Deep clear rose color. Really nice and easy to drink. This did not last long in bottle. Great balance between the acidity and fruit. A fruit forward wine with raspberry and white cranberry notes. 92 points.

KL imports ans selections aren’t the same since Kermit sold the company..wines kinda hit and miss..I enjoyed a Cotes du Rhone from KL but thought this Rose was ok, but just ok
Kermit still owns it. His son runs it now.
thanks for the feedback, appreciate it
Why take chances?
