What rose are you drinking?

If this thread is already around my apologies but I couldn’t find via search so here we are…

While there’s certainly some trash out there, we should highlight the excellent bottles that make spring and summer wine drinking something to which we look forward.

On deck last night with gazpacho and grilled chicken thighs was a knockout Audeant 2023. Anybody know if this is saignee? Color would make me believe.
Zippy acidity with excellent balance. A rose to contemplate.

I listed most the threads here: NYC: Rose Bash 2025 - April 24th - Event Planner - Online or Offline - WineBerserkers

I think “quality rose” is the most recent one.

Just so happens I opened this tonight:

Impossible to see in the photo, but 2023 vintage. Solid, friendly, rustic, your local neighborhood farmer giving you a hand.

Just make it 2025 Edition…always down to read about new offerings outside my usual La Bastide Blanche. Grabbed some Miraval from Ralph’s in Palm Springs today as its the only place close to condo. Servicable.

this 2023 was fantastic last night

Recently enjoyed this PYCM. It’s a pretty serious rose!

We had the 22 Sabelli-Frisch Flame Tokay Laterna Blodgett a few weeks ago and it was tip-top.

I posted about it elsewhere a few days ago, but thought I should also add to this thread. I had a 2023 Scherrer Dry Rosé recently that was delicious. I’ve had several vintages and this might be the best. Lovely, crisp, lighter-bodied rosé that is lip-smackingly good. Fred still has some for sale in his website, along with the 2024, which was just released.

Goodfellow. It’s delicious, approachable and serious…the best of all worlds.

‘Serious Rose’ is an oxymoron :pile_on:

Serious Rosé sometimes have bubbles in it :stuck_out_tongue:

2022 & 2023 Conterno Rosato made from nebbiolo grapes. Consistently terrific to have by itself and with all kinds of food. My only rosé purchase by the case each year. Sometimes I have to reload during the year.

Chateau Simone Rosé, Clos Cibonne Tibouren Rosé, Pibarnon Nuances, Valentini Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo, LdH Tondonia Rosato, etc etc. There’s serious rosé out there for sure. Unless you’re just being cheeky
