I’m a big fan of the tesseron 53 and 29; I polished off a good chunk of a bottle of the 29 on my last emirates flight.

On the theme of affordable wine (especially with BD approaching), I went with some K&L specials
2018 Giulia Negri Barbera for $37
2021 Tenute Inverso Montepulciano d’Abruzzo $22 (new to me)

2020 Donvitantonio Montepulciano d’Abruzzo for $13 (new to me).

We shall see how they turn out

Lol I guess I’ll just copy paste this from Mark, all 2019s.

To be clear, I didn’t purchase these. These were gifted to me by a relative who I was helping to move and they didn’t want to take the wine with them. They’d been stored in a cool / dark place. Based on fill levels, there’s likely a few here that might not be the best but surprisingly many of them are in great shape (but only one way to find out!). I haven’t had too much experience trying any of these wines (if I have, they were from a vintage this century), so I’m not really sure what to expect. If anyone’s in the Seattle area and wants to try some of these, be my guest!

Picked up a couple more bottles of Egly-Ouriet Crayères VV, 2019 disgorgement. This is probably the last time I’ll buy them, given the steep price increases. They initially seemed like a great deal, but once buyer’s fees, tax, and shipping were added, they ended up being just a decent deal overall. I honestly expected to be outbid and hadn’t completed the calculations before committing.
