Agreed. The free shipping on many wines, on top of already reasonable prices, really tips the balance in favor of Saratoga for me. I think I paid a total of $50 in shipping to have 3.5 cases of wine delivered to Indiana.
Thanks to people shouting out the Zachy’s sale, I picked up a bunch of:

Can’t wait to try this Berserker favorite (when it’s warm enough to ship)!
It needs time!
How much time?
The time it takes to get it shipped to you. ![]()
I’d say worth opening one now just to see if you enjoy it in this stage, but for me, I think it’ll be a lot better in 3 years or so. I think this of most NV Champagne releases, though.
@Brian_G_r_a_f_s_t_r_o_m posted a note that I think nails where this wine is:
2015 Giuseppe Quintarelli Amarone Riserva
1996 Bartolo Mascarello Barolo
2006 Bartolo Mascarello Barolo
2015 Bartolo Mascarello Barolo
2006 Vietti “Villero” Barolo Riserva

2010 Vietti “Villero” Barolo Riserva
2016 Cavallotto “Vigna San Giuseppe” Barolo Riserva

Among your many clever utterances, this is a gem. Awesome!

Is this Saratoga Wine Exchange?
Saratoga Wine:
Ditto here. Saratoga is such a God-send for me. On top of what is already written above by you and Sarah, they have been very quick and good about correcting the problem with one order I had. Big big plus is that they ship to Kansas.
PS. while I was typing this, I heard a truck pull up in our driveway. FedEx just delivered two cases from Saratoga. They were ordered two weeks apart. It wasn’t Saratoga’s issue, they processed the orders quickly, it was most likely the delays from the massive winter storm and heavy snow that hit the mid-west just over a week ago.
PPS. The Comtes d’Eguisheim bottles from Léon Beyer were a bit of a splurge for us at $80 each, but it’s hard to find them and they are back vintages.
I like Saratoga a lot too, they’re not great for higher end wines but for low and mid priced wines they’re generally great.
Sorry to rain in on the Saratoga love fest, but not from Saratoga as their spirits pricing is a little too secondary for my liking ![]()
Nice. Love the blanco and añejos.
