I wouldnât write off that 89. They had a lot of leaky corks that year, so plenty of well-stored bottles have low fills. Theyâre a bit of a crapshoot but I had a bottle with a much lower fill than yours (it was inadvertently stored upside down for some time) and it was fine other than an elevated level of Brett.

I had Prelat twice this past weekend and they were quite good, especially for the price!

Iâve been through quite a few over the last few vintages, they show really well (yes especially at the price). There are some new ones that have just come out, including a Millesime bottling from 2019 Iâm excited to try.
