22’ Prum is $70+/btl now so of course Burgundy makes more sense as a value play…
I blame @Wil_Raley and @Dinesh_Goyal …

Once you factor in shipping, import costs, distribution costs, and markup, youre pretty much at the US retail price im afraid

My last pallet cost about $7/b to my door from the UK. Can be as low as $5 if the pallet is packed full and tall. Everything else you see in the US is middlemen markups.
Everything looks great except I’m pretty sure my shopping list also had some Griotte on there too - you might need to run back to the store
Jokes aside - nice haul! I still haven’t had Duroche’s LSJ. Definitely a wine near the top of my list. Cheers!
had to buy some Doyard Revolution.

Sorry to hear that. I had a chat with a guy in a wine store in Serralunga d’alba not long ago, who told me he had similiar issues, but only from warmer vintages like 2015. Still it shouldn’t be that evolved I think.
Yes based in Denmark as well

Fair enough. Certainly not buying more 2015. Luckily everything else I’ve had was really good
Another thread I’ve stayed away from lately to avoid temptations.
But here are a few wines I couldn’t resist the last couple months despite reasonable efforts to abstain from buying:
2021 T. Boudignon Savennieres Clos Hutte
NV L. Roederer 244 (I’ve somehow not tried it!)
2021 Grange Tiphaine Côt VV
2022 H. Ludes Kabinett Terrassen
2020 Baudry Croix Boissee

I need to stop buying Sauternes at approx 12x my rate of consumption. But the deal was too good to resist, and a birth year wine for my partner.
I have stopped buying Sauternes but at my current annual rate of consumption I have enough to last me until I am 115.

Pull that out because I lack in culture, taste and breadth of experience but the rest is my jam! Well done sir.
