I was eyeing that Barge!

The recent Julien Renard mixed dozen arrived yesterday.

It’s probably too old but opportunities to try older vintages are scarce, so why not?

Me too! Figured a berserker was bidding it and I’d leave it alone …

Speaking of fun recent auction buys
2018 St Prefert CdP blanc VV Clairette mags (only made in mags)
2009 Rayas Fonsalette.

Former well under retail price, the latter basically back to what I paid on release pre-covid, to reference the other thread…

Have high hopes that 21 suits his style better than 19 and 20

I have a few bottles of the '21 Riesling. Any prognosis on when to open?

If you have a few open one now. A bit of air helps IMHO.

2016 Heitz Cellar Trailside Cab

Haven’t had this before so thought I would add one to the cellar.

6x Patricia Green Cellars 2022 Freedom Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir (bought a few a month or so ago and need to remember to open one to try one of these days soon).

Nothing! Baby steps.

4 x Conti Costanti 19’ BdM

Just got offered Tusk - pricey but had to pick up a 3 pack, it is going to be a while before I can drink it!

Need some drinkers.

I gave idealwines a try:

2006 Chevillon NSG LSG x2
1988 Chateau de la Tour Clos Vougeot
2013 Barthod Chambolle Musigny Les Charmes
1998 Grand Puy Lacoste x2
1970 Pape Clement
1989 Pape Clement
1990 La Louviere
1978 Haut Bailly x2
NV Taittinger Prelude

I’ll see how delivery goes before trying them again.

Nice haul.
Im a newish customer who initially hesitated due to shipping, but they are A+ to deal with and wines arrive via Fedex quicker than I’d imagined. A fan.

Since I keep recommending backfills on 2016 and 2019 Bordeaux, putting my money where my mouth is (again) for a case and half:

2019 Gruaud Larose
2019 Giscours
2019 Poujeaux
2019 Lagrange
2019 Haut Bages Liberal
2019 d’Issan
2019 Langoa Barton

Some of these are a reload. Most expensive was $65, the Gruard Larose. All others under $45. Crazy considering some of these are Classified Growth.

@ToddFrench - your turn!
