I just purchase a mixed case of Mojave Chard 2019 and 2020. If you have not had this I highly recommend it. The wine was introduced to me by Roy Piper and it is a great find. Becky is a great winemaker and the price is outstanding. She makes a great Pinot as well.
A friend is downsizing his collection. So bought 14 bottles 19 and 20 Falkenstein from him. Mostly Kabinett’s, but also a bit of Spätlese and Auslese. Is filling out a hole in my collection!
Cause price has creeped up already in 2019 and I don’t have the opportunity to taste before.
I recently bought two Latricieres 2007 at 110 euros, Chapelle Chambertin 2009 at 150 and Chambertin 2015 at 200. I aknowledge that 2007 is a weaker vintage but the two others are rather comparable to 2019 I think.
Chambertin at 300 and Chapelle at 190 (thinking these two instead of Latricieres, not sure though) are still good price comparatively to other domaines so I think I’ll bite ultimately.
Was already too costly when I started looking for these appelations so never really on my radar. But yeah, I get your point that RT had a more “reasonnable” evolution in terms of pricing…
