This Board has introduced me to some great wines across the spectrum, especially getting me back to trying some Cali syrah, but hands down, whomever got me to try Gonon, I owe you a thousand fortunes. The base syrah is so flippin’ good I just accidentally bought it twice, from two sources. I love it. From '06 to '09, I am mesmerized. Just bought more 2010. I am pacing around waiting for shipping season so I can get more. I actually drank all of my '09 in short order (more on order). And this is a wine that should be matured, but it’s so hard not to pop.
So, what say you?
Side-note, is there a better mid-priced Northern Rhone syrah?
Easy…CowanCllrs.
That be the right answer, Jim???
I kept hearing about Jim’s wine for yrs. Any day, now.
His Isa SauvBlanc…may not be “great” in the usual sense…but really tasty stuff it is.
Looking forward to trying the Syrah.

Burgundy in general. I always liked it but reading here gave me confidence to sort things out and buy. A few specific ones are Bertheau and indirectly (via Bill Nanson) Dubreuil-Fontaine.
