I’d just say uninspiring … for 496 and 497
I think the only post-Cam dNs I bought were 497, 525, and 553. Isn’t 553 a top wine? I don’t recall the consensus on 525.
Dear deNegociants,
I’m moving to England in a month, so I’m running out of time and I still have a lot of wine that I can’t bring with me to the UK, so I’m bringing the price down on what I have left. These are all early days de Negoce offerings, and they have been well cellared at the Caves du Vin in Berkeley. All reds, no whites.
I’ve done an inventory and it looks like I have the following bottles for sale. I am offering them now for the price I paid in 2020-22.

Yes, I do like 553:
Only ~7 months bottled. 1 hour afternoon decant, returned to the bottle. This smooth tasty wine may not need the decanter. Already. Thoroughly enjoyed and drank the bottle too fast. Trying to figure out the 2022’s, this one is definitely delicious

ThanksScott for sharing the disappointing perspective.
In Cam wee trust.
Otherwise…?
You’re right, I meant 550.
Man, that is disappointing. I bought 3-4 of those lot 495-500 wines. Only drank a single bottle of 500. Hopefully, they just need more time!!!
That’s what I say. Be patient everyone. Some of these wines may take many, many years to be drinking well. I bought these later dN lots and then switched to Cam X:
404
429
430
446
447
468
478
497
525
553
Some are fine, I liked #500!
Lot 500 Rutherford 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon
Drinking this with less than a year in the bottle. Very Light decant. Too SOON? Probably, yet still extremely enjoyable
. Held its own and matched #25 perfectly! Surprisingly, similar that night. 100% NFO, integrated well already. with Lamb Chops & high mountain air

Strangely, out of the last ten, predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon dN wines you acquired and listed, I only purchased the L 553 Napa 2022 CS. I admittedly purchased seven other dN selections before CAM-X appeared; as, the $99/case L 422 Lodi 2022 PS (my wife’s favorite varietal), L 445 Albarino has been a hit among our white-wine friends, a good table wine L 508 Carignan, L 519 Tannat because it was the first time offered, L 544 Chalk Hill Malbec in hopes that this mimics the fantastic L 118 Malbec, L 563 PS with crossed fingers and L 559 Diamond Mtn CF which was sent to my daughter for long term storage. / Sorry, but only the B+ L 508 Carignan has been tried so far. Hopefully, some of these will be posted on de Négociants website soon.
I had a 22 the past couple days as well. This is supposed to be a Robert Craig wine from 2018 (from the denegociants site).
If i had realized that, I would have opened a 468 as well. I’ll probably do that sometime in the next few months.
Does anyone smarter than me have an idea what the difference is between 22/468 - it does not appear they have the same blend, but were they intended to be the same wine? Did 22 not make the cut for the wine that RC bottled that became a shiner for 468?
Hard to believe this wine is over the hill after 6 years. I’ll be interested in hearing your thoughts on the remaining bottles. dN wines seem to have more bottle variation that other labels, so hopefully that’s the case here.
Yeah I was surprised. It’s been maybe a year since I touched one last and I assumed bottle variation could be at play as well. Even still, I’m gonna finish off the last bottles as I don’t see it becoming an amazing wine.
I opened a dN 100 Rutherford CS the other night & thought it was the best bottle yet. The acidity had developed & balanced out the dark fruit profile & restrained chocolate notes. The bottle lasted over two more nights & was best on day 2, making me regret that I gave some away in its flabby youth.
I’m sorry you had a disappointing experience, but I plan to drink up #100 in the coming months.
Mark.
OG N. 21, 22, 46, 47 & 71 all from same producer. 71 does not fit RC portfolio offerings.
Cheers, Tim
First Friday evening dinner of 2026: Let’s reach back in the early de Negoce Cabernet days for this gem:
- 2018 de Négoce Cabernet Sauvignon OG N.05 - USA, California, Napa Valley, Coombsville (1/2/2026)
Double decanted back into bottle 30 mins prior to serving with grilled Ribeye steak dinner.
Nose: Floral, oak spice, licorice, mixed with blackberry.
Color: Dark and opaque in Bordeaux stem.
Palate: Beefy characteristic typical of Coombsville Cabs, Dark plum blackberry, red rock minerality, balanced out with a smooth tannic finish. Full bodied with no heat at 15.1% Alc. Paired well with rich beef flavor from Ribeye. Still hard to believe this was $156/case back in 2020. 5.5 years in bottle now. Plenty of life ahead from here, wonderful now. (92 points)

Started the evening with this outrageous Oregon Chardonnay bargain:
Spared half bottle for Saturday evening’s 9ers- Seahawks game.
- 2019 de Négoce Chardonnay OG N.133 - USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Eola - Amity Hills (1/2/2026)
Poured with Friday dinner prep.
Nose: Lemon tart and jasmine. Really enjoyable, and Burgundian like.
Color: Light Yellow
Palate: Deft touch of oak here allowing a fleshy stonefruit to show through with layers of minerality, more lemon, and kissed with enough acid for a lip smacking finish. Hard to put the glass down, you want more. A fantastic Oregon Chardonnay sourced likely from Larry Stone's Lingua Franca. (92 points)

Lot 547 | 2021 Napa Valley Cabernet
8+ months bottled, 1/12, PnP.
Bright, lean, acidic, kinda simple, an AWFE wine?
Some folks will really enjoy this 13.6% 2021 CS. I prefer more fat on my beef and in my CS, this one is lean and clean. Decent Oak. It has its place, aging should add to the much needed complexity?
with Ribeye
Must have had a bad bottle. Mine had no acidity, pruned fruits, and def no sign of chocolate.
last wine before dryuary for me: 2017 de Négoce Cabernet Sauvignon OG N.146 Napa Valley “Reserve” - cellartracker reviews spot on, very tasty stuff.
