EXACTLY Alexander!!
Got 5 #321, on hold. Needs more age to bloom. Then
Lot 398 is fabulous on day 3, so smooth and delicious.
And, no crud in the bottom of the bottle.
This one is built for the long haul.
Damn! I only got half a case.
If you’ve got this and don’t like it…
Lot 501 2023 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir
2/24, PnP. Almost 1 year bottled.
Been 10 months since my first very premature bottle, huge improvement, much added complexity!
Moderately light color, firm acidity, plenty of oak, NOT overripe. This should develop very nicely with additional age, I’m giving it more time.
with BBQ’ed chicken thighs
Been a stressful July 2025 for wife and myself. Let’s start off August with a very fine Napa Cabernet experience we can share together:
- 2018 de Négoce Cabernet Sauvignon OG N.60 - USA, California, Napa Valley, Yountville (8/1/2025)
Double decanted 30 mins prior to serving with grilled Filet Mignon steak and Italian sausages.
Pours quite dark in wine glass, purple and opaque. Swirling the glass provides fantastic Cabernet aromas of dark berries, acacia, graphite, along with the finest French Oak one could imagine. First sip and you're greeted with dark cherry, dark plums, cassis- and then the tannins attack. Massively tannic in what one would expect from a nearly $300 Yountville Cabernet from Sleeping Lady Vineyard. It would be disappointing NOT to have the grip this wine does. Tannins overpowered the Filet Mignon. Next bottle will match a fattier steak - NY strip or Rib Eye. Clearly the best de Negoce Cabernet I've consumed. Originally a VIP offering from Cameron along with OG N.59.

I think maybe I should buy a little bit of Cam X wine ???
OG N.151 2018 Napa Valley “Reserve” Meritage
Last bottle, PnP, over 4.5 years bottled. Very Pleasant wine + ! It’s ready.
Per Brian’s Cool(I like his reviews/similar tastes) on CT: “7/4/2025 - BRIANSCHOOL WROTE: 89 Points, This wine has lost a point each year! It started off with so much promise”
A blend of 47% Cabernet, 39% Merlot, and 14% Malbec, drink it up

After some less than enthusiastic recent comments about 176 RRV PN 2019 (thought to be Ramey??) by others on this thread, I’m very pleased with this wine tonight (day 3). Dark red fruits, deeper notes of something dark & luscious (I used to think forest floor, but it’s melded with the fruit), tingling acidity, long finish. An absolutely lovely wine, beautifully balanced with layers of complexity. More than a case of 176 was consumed in its youth & probably only a handful remain (if I’m lucky). It was only $13 a bottle!
By the way, has anyone checked in on lot 157 Sonoma Coast PN 2019 lately (thought to be Philip Melka)?
Thanks Scott, I believe I have 3 left.
Yes, 6 months months ago: 1/31/25:
#OG Lot 157 2019 Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir
Nearly 4 years in the bottle, #2 of 12, PnP. Very deeply colored and richly flavored with a large (14.9%) structure. Moderate Pinotberry on the nose that opens over time. I believe that this could age very well and develop greater complexity with age. A solid PN, with a Syrah/Zinfandel like structure. I like this big style, it’s got nice aromatics. 90+ B+/A-, 1++ Yum ++
Per Cam: “94-Points, Platinum Medal 2021 Sommelier Challenge Wine Competition From the same producer as N.156 and N.158, this phenomenal Pinot Noir hails from a a legendary consulting winemaker working in a legendary vineyard (from which another producer just scored 100 points for their 2018).”
Sounds good to me!

Thought to be Flora Springs @denegociants
Opened up my first bottle of 175 in a long time tonight to watch my Buffalo Bills on Hard Knocks! What a fantastic bottle of wine. What a fantastic team. Go Bills!!!
$10 btl Columbia Valley OG 2019 Cab Sauv?
227 last night. Been kind of crushing them to make my way for CamX and some other bottles. Really crazy that it was like $10.83 on case sale at some point.
My plan as well.
OG N.129 2018 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

Lot 352 2021 Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon
My Job ??? Depleting inventory……

I’ll have to dig out a 227 this weekend. Grabbed a 225 zin tonight and it’s great on PnP. Very fruit forward with just a little spice. Might be one dimensional, but that dimension is very enjoyable.
By coincidence, I had my last 225 this week - it was still tasty but had lost a step on the fruit. It’s one to drink up unless you like your zins with age on them (225 is a 2017 Napa Zin)
