Yes, very secure! Some of these Cam X wines are far far more enjoyable than many big label wines ![]()

Scott, my singlular experience of Lot 32 was surprising in the sense the fruit was already very prominent but it was very red vs blue or black. Should be interesting to follow how it develops over time ![]()
Jamie, do you get powdery tannins?
It’s a nice cab.
I have about half the bottle left for tonight
Thanks Jamie!
I’m trying to avoid premature ejaculation (cork).
Got 4 cases so far, I’m as optimistic as ever with these positive reviews.
Tempted to pop one, and see if maybe 5 cases is better than only 4?? ![]()
I guzzle a bottle daily, so……?? ![]()

With all the accolades for X#32, I was inspired, so:
OG N.66 2018 Napa Valley (mostly Stags Leap) Cabernet
73.58% Stags Leap 22.44% Yountville 3.98% Carneros
78% Cabernet, 13% Merlot, 6% Petite Verdot, 2% Malbec, 1% Cabernet Franc 14.6% alc.
In the decanter for tonight.
1st sniffs, Still a bit reduced, leather, dark fruits and dark color. Where’s the CS character, just barely perceptible.
Review to be posted on dN manana….will guzzle with Lamb Chops
Cheers @Sc0tt_B!
Time to finish off the bottle ![]()
My dad wasn’t that into the cab francs (lot 21/29) but really like 32 (stags leap).
Wow you have 4 cases of a single lot untasted and are contemplating a 5th case? You have way more wine storage than I have. I can’t stay with the same thing more than a few times before moving on to something else, leftovers I only enjoy maybe once, twice at the max so multiple cases of a single wine blow my mind.
I applaud you at that but I could never do it. So many wines out there to try and limited storage space that kind of purchasing is just not in my wheelhouse.
Yep Chris, that’s how I roll. I have become more monogamous in my old age. ![]()
I do understand about enjoying more variety, I have enough variety here for my satisfaction.
It’s definitely not the first time for me as I got 4-5 cases of each dN’s 17,19,24,57,165,176… Of those 25+ cases only about 11 bottles total remain to be enjoyed!
Plenty of storage, I also let hiking buddy Mark keep 12 cases here, no problem.
My limiting factor seemingly is only the inevitable mortality? I’ve planned for that, too. Meanwhile, I’m consuming 30+ cases each year. It disappears so quickly.
Between you and me, I am MUCH more confident in these booze purchases than I was in July 2006, buying precious metals (PM’s). And much more confident than more recently, $8,900 bitcoin. etc….
This booze is a solid value, it feels like $11 AG/Silver to me! ![]()
Wish me Luck!

Yes, I believe I did!
Has anybody tried Lot 13 (Meritage/Proprietary Blend, Atlas Bench, guess: Water Witch)?
I’ve asked that question multiple times with no answers, so I think we can assume the answer is no. That said, I’m looking forward to your observations!
Went for x3 bottles of Lot 13 because I typically (really) enjoy Meritage however, it is true that feedback is currently scarce. On va voir…
It just seems impossible ![]()
Popped lot 29. I had opened one before at a party a couple months back and it was pleasant. This time around, not good. Hot, oaky, and disjointed. No cab franc character. Sadly, dumped the glass
Branson,
Likely some bottle shock going on. Early on de Negoce wines exhibited some clumsiness after 2-3 months in bottle. Purchasers would “wait” some “weeks” try again only to report- yep it’s coating the bottom of the sink. Then, after opening say 8-9 bottles in half a year with same results, last few bottles earned significant praise after a year in bottle. My 2018 dN Cabs (2023 is as good, maybe better) are just starting to show their best at 5 years in the bottle. Hope that helps.
Cheers, Tim
How has everyone been enjoying the lot 18 pinot? Thinking about giving it a try today
Eric,
X18, no not yet.
Do tell….![]()
Thanks for the response. Interesting to learn, so I’ll leave these sleep for a while. Lots of other fun stuff to open in the meantime!
We really enjoyed 18. Also 20 and 31. All rich, flavorful and ready after a decant.
Lovely, accessible pinots.
