This is not as good as I remembered. My wife told me it was so maybe my memory is failing me… again!
Bone dry, more mineral than fruit, short finish. Again, not what I remember. I had but one glass.
Château Magnol 2016
Ain’t nothing wrong with that! Maybe it was the prime rib, roasted potatoes and mushroom cream sauce but this showed rather well. Nice red berried nose with some cassis and toasted oak (coffee). The palate is fresh and lively on red-berried freshness with mostly integrated tannins (rather fine, slightly grippy) and a decent finish on tobacco leaf and torrefaction. Very decent QPR.
