2005 JK Carriere Anderson Family Vineyard Pinot Noir
Edited to tone the beat down a tad:
Deep crimson with evident bricking. Ripe black fruit on the nose, along with a hint of steamed fruit and black pepper. I tasted mushroom, dried fig. A mid palate acid gradient but mostly integrated, no longer the jagged tannin and acid of its preteens. A pleasant rosewater aftertaste. The slightest hint of stewed veg did carry to the mouth. This is a wine that likely came to its full expression less than a handful of years ago. Still an enjoyable, decent drink a full twenty years after its vintage.
