What BEER are you drinking? (Part 2)

Thanks. Just bookmarked the two in Edinburgh to Google Maps.

Post or PM your location in Edinburgh if you want, may be able to add more. We stayed very close to St Mary’s Episcopal Church, so those two were a 15 minute walk at most, but parking a car anywhere near that is a bitch and buses are wonky unless you’re using them all the time to get around, may not be the most convenient to just pop in for a pint

Thanks for the offer. We’re still in planning stages, so don’t know where we’ll be staying yet. Thanks!

We were at Obelisk in June. I recall liking the smoked bock called Auspicious Sign.

I haven’t made it up there yet, but would really like to go. I’m trying to keep their beer on our shelves at my workplace.

Being far from my wines, no decent wine store insight, super warm weather…

Makes me happy to at least have one of my favorite lagers at hand. To me the best in Croatia, and one of the better in Europe.

Brown Ale isn’t a style I seek too often. Vincent, proprietor at Verdina, is a Canadian beermaker relocated to avoid winters. This is a damn fine glass of draught beer. Not overly carbonated with whiffs of cacao & cafe. Had two!

Interesting stock ale, with less overt malt sweetness and more brettanomyces influence that is mentioned on the label.

Just picked up a case at the brewery last week (saisons are hard to find, even in Oregon). The taproom really attracts crowds!

I’ve asked where this was for years (8-10?) and ran across Foreign Extra.

I’m not a Guinness drinker, but I’m glad to see this back

Stolen from my brother-in-law’s (don’t at me pedants!) fridge.

I just can’t wrap my head around hazy ipas; they’re so sweet.

FWIW, I’ve never bene super impressed with Common Space. Their neighbor across the street, however, I love (LA Ale Works)

Common Space hazies are not good enough to get me to buy them; and I’ve visited there two or three times, and have purchased at retail a few times, too. I’m done. They don’t know what they’re doing.

ETA: @JulianD beat me to it. And I share in his appreciation for LA Aleworks.

Falling Piano out of CDMX makes a lot of beer. This one is among their highest rated cans. NEIPA styled and very balanced. Great finish and very smooth while not overly hoppy.
