LOL. Nah, have been to Milan, Rome and back to Paris since. They had raccoon urine (Cantillon) on the menu tonight. I passed.
Anything from Maine Beer Co. is always excellent. One of my favorite breweries in New England.
Best fresh hops this week have been from Reach Break Brewing, by far.
Fresh new batch released Wednesday. One of my favorite North Park IPAs. Hopped with Mosaic Cryo, then DDHâd with Mosaic, Nelson and Strata. I get massive strawberry, blueberry, orange, pineapple, peach and melon notes. Itâs beautifully balanced, crisp and clean with a long fruity dry finish. A great example of the ânew schoolâ take on WCIPAâs. North Park Beer Co. Mr. Hoppy. West Coast IPA, 7.1% ABV.
Highly Recommended,
Cheers,
Bud

2020 Brouwerij 3 Fonteinen Oude Geuze âPeatedâ sherry barrel - Belgium, Flanders, Beersel (10/8/2022)
The peated flavor does come through a little bit, and works well. But, overall, it mostly just comes across as an oude gueuze. Pretty high abv for the style at 10.2%.
Iâm in SD next week, last professional meeting.
Beer + food recommendation?
Glen, you must hit North Park Beer Co. Sorrento in Little Italy is excellent, opens at 3pm.Dobsons downtown is a hidden gem, best mussel bisque youâll ever have, theyâre open for lunch at 11:30am
Cheers,
Bud
And here I thought Glenn was heading to Sioux Falls, South Dakota . . . .
North Park is an Uber but Iâll go 100%, thanks!
Well worth the ride Glenn, plus there are a ton of local food places all around that part of town.
Cheers,
Bud
Walking distance from my daughterâs apartment!
Canât wait to go next time we are there.
Have been hammering Matchless Zappa Fresh Hop. I love this time of year.
Green Cheek - âPlaying it Loudâ DDH NEIIPA: Amazingly light mouthfeel and dangerously drinkable for its 8.6% abv⌠Bright stone fruits, with some mid-palate hoppy bitterness. Canned on 9/28. Excellent beer, and possibly my favorite of the four or five I picked-up to try.
