What Bedrock wine are you drinking tonight?

I’m with ya on this - Dolinsek seems best young. Lone exception for me, the 2014 Dolinsek was amazing around age 7. Vintage variation I suppose.

I’ve found that some of the Bedrock cuvees go kinda pruney to my taste after 5+ years. Well only the Zin based ones. I popped the 2009 Griffin’s Lair Syrah last night- from the library release a couple of years ago - and it was singing on PnP. Definitely in the savory/beef blood/meat and dirt camp. I love that in aged Syrah so this was hitting for me.

It is good young, but one of the best wines I’ve had in the last few years was a 1994 Swan Frati — same vineyard before the Dolinseks bought it. So I do wonder how the Bedrock Dolinseks will do with 20 years on them.

A 2019 Two Acres we opened at a pot-luck this weekend was most excellent right from the start. I was worried because I often find Mike’s wines need some time to open up but this was enjoyed by all!
