TBH it was a bit much for me this vintage. Thankfully I only have one bottle of the 2019 left.
Ahhhh, i canāt get enough, ha! ![]()
And as you know, i typically wouldnāt be opening a BR vineyard this young but the half bottle was calling my name. Better days to come for sure and i bet some of that citrus will integrate more ![]()
Iāve noticed the orange oil note too and it hasnāt been off putting. Some recent Bedrock reds though seem to have an elevated acidity level. For my palate at least, that has been hard to shallow, so to speak.
I have loved the extra acidity. Reminds me of the old Ravenswood wines.
I am sensitive to it, like if you chew cinnamon gum. It makes my mouth more tender. I know I am weird.
We all are in our own ways
And? Have a few still off site. Is it time to bring them home?
Showing potential. Iād give another year and a week or two standing up. There is a lot of fine sediment going on.
Come on now! Donāt leave us hanging!! ![]()
It has a nice Kick?
Just a little:.

Looks like the photo made WineBerserkers and the tasting note hit CellarTracker (see below)ā¦sounds like a fabulous bottle of Bedrock.
From about as perfect provenance as you can find for this bottle. Pop and pour, roaring acid off the bat but quickly settles down. Gorgeous blue fruited, a bit of gameyness from the Syrah. The acid fell into a perfect spot to support. This is firing on all cylinders. Bottle didnāt last long enough to check evolution, but no regrets on that.
Out of curiosity, for folks who bought the 2023 Hudson Exposition 3pack, what are your plans for aging?
I have less experience with the syrahs than the Heritage wines, but even the 2015s Iāve tried in the last couple years tasted really young.

Thanks, was just a bit delayed getting back over here!
Received a couple crates from Bedrock today. I really like the new lighter bottles.
There was a flaw issue with a library bottle. Bedrock offered to refund, replace, or credit.
Top notch customer service.
2023 Katushas, excellent. Almost Syrah aromatics with white pepper, herbs, etc; dense midpalate with blackberry coulis; a long finish with lots of berries and spice. Big acidity and great stuffing. Great wine, vintage starting to show its stuff.
