Love the '07 VT & the N/V Billiot Brut. I bought at least 4 of each of those this year.
Now why did you go ahead and ruin a great CDP list with the lone CA Cab Blend? ![]()
None. I have not bought even two bottles of a single wine over $30 during 2010. Sorry.
Actually I’d sworn off Cali/BDX a few years back but then I popped an 04 Conn Right Bank earlier this year and it had improved so dramatically I bought these when a deal showed up.
Ill play:
N.V. Cedric Bouchard / Roses de Jeanne Champagne Inflorescence Blanc de Noirs Val Vilaine
2005 Flying Wine Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville
2008 Rivers-Marie Cabernet Sauvignon
none. I like to buy 4 bottles at that price point. $70 or more I typically buy 2 bottles (with some exceptions). Im not a baller.

2008 Rivers Marie Cab

2008 Outpost Grenache

Recently had 02 Billiot for the first time. Fuck the descriptors, it is straight up delicious.
Anything more than 3 is notable for me at any price point.
@ 6 I did invest in the 2007 Big Basin Coastview Syrah. I had that earmarked as one to do a longer term study on after a memorable barrel sample a couple of years ago. I might regret that when I only have the budget for 3 of the 07 Rattlesnake when that finally gets released.
@ 4, 07 Rhys Alpine PN and 08 Rivers Marie Cabernet, both related to ongoing vertical and horizontals
Actually I’d sworn off Cali/BDX a few years back but then I popped an 04 Conn Right Bank earlier this year and it had improved so dramatically I bought these when a deal showed up.
The 04 Right Bank drank very well this past summer. Conn consistently offers a lot of value under $50.
I forgot, I went long on the '02 Marguet Brut Grand Cru from K&L at $39.95. I bought 3 initally and just bought six more! Buying that much of one wine is out of charactor for me but I love it!
