What 3 grapes do you drink most often?

Mine reads Bordeaux blend, Pinot Noir, then Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc (ie. Sauternes).
If just bottles that I’ve opened myself, then it’s Red Bordeaux blend, Semillon-Sauvignon Blanc, then Cabernet Sauvignon.

Flawed poll. Where is Melon? Gamay? Nerello mascalese? Tannat? Mourvedre? Furmint? Etc. Etc.??
Huh? Huh?

  1. Pinot Noir
  2. Riesling
  3. Chard
  4. Syrah

Everything else is way behind.

Nebbiolo, Cab, and a surprise to me: Pinot is third ahead of Riesling. Of course few of those PN bottles are mine.

12 years ago it was Cab, Merlot and their blends
8 years ago it was Shiraz/syrah, Zin and Cab
Now it’s Pinot Noir, Syrah and Zin just edging out Cab

Grenache (CDP blend) Syrah, Riesling: I know, dilettante wine!

According to CellarTracker…

I’m 25% Pinot
11.3% Cab
9.2% Syrah

…but these are over all time. Pinot used to dominate my cellar, but not anymore. I’m sure In the last 2-3 years it would probably be Syrah, Cab and GSM. Just a guess though.

Chardonnay did very well coming in 4th place and just a few % behind Cabernet. Amazing.

PN by a wide margin.

then Zin, then Syrah.

Sauvignon Blanc is not on the list and Semillon is? Really?

For me, SB, Chard, Pinot. Mainly because my wife drinks whites. Otherwise, it would be Pinot, Zin, Syrah.

Shiraz
Syrah
Merlot

…I know left of centre

Would have been my #1

Yep, me too.

4th is Zin and 5th is Champagne blend.

Pinot, Syrah, Zin.

The Zin is a recent phenomenon, but Chard is close.

What do they make Boone’s Farm out of?

Pinot, Cab, Syrah right now. Ask me in a year

It’s people! Boone’s Farm is people!

I’m shocked Riesling is so far down on the list.

No cab franc, chenin, gamay? Those are pretty widely consumed around here I’d think. I suspect each of those would get you more results (here) than dolcetto, barbera or merlot (as a stand-alone). Or Semillon. Really, Semillon?

No Furmint, Pigato, or Ribolla Gialla?

Flawed poll.

Hey, aged semillon is a wonderful thing whether from Bordeaux, Australia or Kalin.
