I understand that vintage has 1800 acres of vineyards - anyone have a breakdown of those? One would think at least THOSE have value - unless they are in areas that are already over-grown of it the vineyards need a lot of work.
Cheers

Page 39 of a recent prospectus has a list. Mostly Laetitia and Owen Roe.
Maybe someone should buy it to launder money Ozark style.
Not sure how many of those 1100 acres of vines at Laetitia are still planted. Literally drove past there last night and noticed a good chunk of the vineyard seems to have been removed . . .
Cheers
Larry,
Some of those vineyards were planted in the 80s by Deutz.
I doubt if much replanting has gone on. And was the land owned or leased??
The public filings say both, but donât seem to say the split.
I have no idea. Drove past again today - my little daughter takes swim lessons just north of there - and can confirm that lots of vineyards are now gone. And I can confirm that some have been replanted to other crops - too early to tell what they are - but definitely not grapes . . .
Cheers
Larry,
Dammit!
Get out of the car and jump over the fence and find out!!
And set out some PD traps while youâre at it.
Are people saying that central facilities made common wines but sold under different brand labels?
Yes and no.
When I made a presentation to the winemakers about buying our barrelsâten years agoâseveral winemakers were working on different projects in the same building.I suppose you could say it was like owning your own custom crush.
But they werenât just changing labels on the bottling line.
Gallo is the largest vineyard management company in the US. Not everything they own/farm is for their labels and they own many high end properties such as Monte Rosso and Stagecoach to name a couple
Someone wake me up when the bankruptcy liquidation sale beginsâŚâŚ ![]()
(PS - just a joke, truly sucks for the employees that get hurt in the process through all of this)
Soon grasshopper . . .
Yeah, but it is what it is. Frankly, a liquidation of those companies will ultimately help employees because the companies will likely be run better than the chuckleheads that are running VWE today.
I wouldnât be the least bit surprised if the good ones had already moved on, or about to.
Many of the Vintage assets have been for sale for quite a while. They had engaged Oppenheimer trying to sell assets to raise capital to stave off delisting and bankruptcy.
Post bankruptcy, the price expectations may be more modest.
The nuclear option?
You can follow all the fun here (Epiq 11), although bankruptcy dockets arenât all that user-friendly.
Theyâre going to try to sell the entire thing, with an auction process. No stalking horse bidder yet.
