TN: 2012 Bedrock Wine Co. Zinfandel Old Vine

We had one of these tonight, our first Bedrock Zin. We’ve had the NC Syrah and a white, both of which we loved, but hadn’t had a Zin before.

Very precise acidity, quite zippy across the tongue. Very pure fruit but with an awesome exotic spice note. We will have the remainder of the bottle tomorrow night.

I just Coravin’d a glass of this. My first sip ever of the SC OV Zin. Blew me away; crackling red and black fruit, as fresh as it is elegant.
I went back to CT…Waitaminnit, I only bought two bottles??? I only paid $20??? What was I thinking??? Old words of wisdom from my Dad came back to me: “You rarely regret what you buy, but often what you’ve passed by.”
