I had a 95 last year that was lovely. These wines can age very well.

went with my last 2003 SQN Papa - outstanding, drinking at it’s peak imo.

Per our decade-old tradition, we drank Hardy wines. After Roederer 244

All were excellent. All absolutely at peak and in perfect condition. Great lunch and afternoon with a few friends

Not pictured:

2021 Lingua Franca Pinot Noir
2022 Andrew Murray Nolan Vineyard Syrah

All showed well. The WOTN was the Poyferre. 2000 BDx is in the zone right now.

We are actually in Japan, and without a kitchen this time, so this was at a restaurant. We’ve made both eel and many pickled vegetables at home, though.

Both are great wines, Suzanne,

Almost jealous!

Only the 3 of us. We started with some Roederer 242. Still tight but starting to show some nice complexity and depth. Had steak (and other more T–givingy stuff, as the main–I just can’t hack turkey–so we tried the 2016 Comtesse Pichon Lalande. Sublime wine, obviously, still on the young side, but gorgeous, balanced and multifaceted. First of six.

How was the ‘10 Grezeaux?

WOTN. We were just having that discussion. I think it needs a few more years though.
