Forgot to take any pictures, but headed over to my good friends’ for a nice Thanksgiving get-together, and over eight or more hours thoroughly enjoyed:

2015 Domaine de la Bongran Vire-Clesse Cuvee Tradition, E.J. Thevenet and
2020 iOTA Pelos Sandberg Vineyard Chardonnay;
2022 Patricia Green Cellars Marine Sedimentary Pinot Noir;
2022 Patricia Green Cellars Vocanic Pinot Noir; and,
2022 Patricia Green Cellars Lia’s Vineyard Pinot Noir.

Again, all were very nice. Decanted the PGC Pinots and the iOTA Chardonnay for about 3 hours.

Poor @Frank_Murray_III hasn’t felt this dissed since what’s her name in High School ignored him.

Nah, vintage port w pumpkin pie sounds better to me. Surprised you opened a young one!

With leftovers, NV Egly-Ouriet Rose, 2013 Base, 60 months sur latte, disgorged July 2019.

Never fails.

Precisely. All were so ethereal that they defied gravity.

My round 2 happened to be my wife’s birthday.

Somehow we didn’t pop any bubbles or whites! The 2016 Antle was from mag.

We had a very mixed crowd, including some very indiscriminate drinkers.

2021 Goodfellow Pinot Gris - still one of the best Pinot Gris I’ve had ever.
2022 Violin Willamette Valley Chardonnay
2021 One Hundreds Suns Gamay Noir
2022 Love and Squalor Gamay Noir

Gamay is kind of a tradition for us, whether Cru Beaujolais or one of the local producers. Both of the Gamays this year were excellent, though very different. The One Hundred Suns was deep and rich, and could have been mistaken for a Pinot. The Love and Squalor was electric and spicy in a Gamay kind of way. Right now, the Love and Squalor is better, but I would bet on the One Hundred Suns over the long term.

We did a Roederer Brut, 2021 Williams Selyem RRV, and a 2016 Watermark Mt. Veeder Cab. Lots of anise and good structure from the Watermark, and we needed something to go with the prime rib

the '09 Jouan Chambolle Musigny was quite primary and deep. Cranberry and sharp red fruits dominated - a beautiful deep cherry color, and full-bodied. I would say it’s half way there, though not at all tannic, just ripe up front fruit and deep. I have a number of Jouan '08s and '09s, and they are all showing lots of flash.

David it was outstanding. Looking forward to following the five remaining bottles I have of this vintage. I grabbed six.

Hey Rick! Glad it was tasty with Turkey day, that Gamay is definitely rich, a little reductive as well, at least the last time we opened one up.
