Long time a staple, I noticed a few weeks ago I didn’t have any Jack in the bar (save some 1.75L commemorative bottle I got 20-25 years ago?). I’ll swing by BevMo this week, see if any of these things are available.
Whats the pricing like on the 10/12 ?
12yr! I missed the concept. Hey @TGigante if you find a bottle in the wild let’s trade again !
(Happy to trade anybody for whisky and wine!)
I will keep on the lookout here Robert
Not impressed with the triple mash, reminded me of a Dickel product.Ok for $30 but won’t be a buyer again.
Interesting pricing across the country on the new JD line extensions. They’re about $36 in NJ but NY wholesale is almost the same so I’m seeing them for $40-50 in NYC. I had them both, the regular bonded is fine, Triple Mash didn’t wow me. Also I think it’s funny that ‘Dickel Product’ is such a pejorative. I’m a big fan.
Love Dickel 11&13 yr BIB, I get a distinct peanut flavor in younger Dickel product. Also love the Dickel 15.
Haven’t seen anything land in NJ yet on the JD 12
Any reports of it being released yet?
I’m enjoying it, honestly. Easy to find bourbon with anywhere from 10-15 years of age for <$60? I’ll take it every day.

Man, if only we’d seen this coming 20 years ago. I remember when one of my college buddies (more like 40 years ago) used to buy Old Rip Van Winkle by the case on the spur of the moment for a party.
Quick PSA, 3 words. Benchmark Full Proof.BT product for $22, no brainer!Had the single barrel, equally outstanding at 95 proof.
I can’t find anybody that knows anything about it.
Tried Coopers Craft 100 proof last night, loads of Carmel goodness without being over sweet. For $35,a steal!

I’d have been happy to see it coming 12 years ago. Living in KC at the time I’d still find the 20 and 23 on the shelf months later. The two different proofs of the 10 year and the Lot B were available in quantity. Rarely saw the rye, even then. That all changed over the course of about three or four years, but could have bought quite a lot around 2008-2012. Bought a good amount, to be fair, but drank it all with family and friends.
Also, if anyone is traveling international through Charlotte, I saw a bunch of Blanton’s on the shelf at the duty free shop in concourse D for $75 per, which seems like a good price these days.
NBC pick blew away our rye blind line-up a few weeks back and it blew away a double-blind with EHT, Michters SR, Willett 4 and New Riff K&L.

How are the New Riff K&L picks? They’re basically 5 year MGP right?
I thought it was a good pour, for certain. Just had the unenviable luck of being in that line-up.
Anyone know where to find the latest Four Roses Limited Edition Small Batch? Extra credit if it is in Colorado.
Usually released in the fall around here.
